Is it just me? I really think Fed is developing a tummy.

Not that it hinders his tennis...
Seems like the food at Roger and Mirka's house tastes very good these days. Maybe Roger gives the money he would spend on a coach to a cook. :p
Well, I still think Roger looks gorgeous. :hearts:

I suppose it's a slow news day, with Federer having quite a routine victory and all.

Well if this is the only way he can be beaten, by taking up Mirka's eating habits, then it is very sad for men's tennis.

And why does this warrent it's own thread?

Because Roger is quite flawless in all other respects - game and personality - so we may as well pick on his less than perfect looks. It makes everyone feel better.

Heh. My sister noticed that too, she was like, "wow this 'Robert Federererer' person has a bit of a belly, eh?"

You can tell she's not a big tennis fan :P

don't think his body type easily allows for a muscular, rigid frame. it probably makes him more flexible.

This doesn't belong anywhere except in tennis' version of the National Enquirer (which, evidently, is MTF, so by circuitous logic I guess it does belong here after all).

Roger always had a little tummy. HE does have some muscles in his stomach but he likes to keep it soft I guess for some extra weight. He is one of the most fit people on the planet. I remember when he was chubby at Hamburg 02 and he won it. :haha:

That's not a tummy, just a "relaxed abdominal muscle", OK? It's been noticed frequently since he started wearing smaller-sized tigher shirts recently than before. That's all. :)

Maybe the shorts he wears for practice are looser than the ones he wears for matches and that causes his tummy to look flat in the picture, but round in match picture....

I have way too much time on my hands....

 Fed is actually pregnant, quick get a big pic of his tummy in this thread! Inquiring minds want to know

I guess men's tennis is really sad, I think even an overweight Rogi would still be kicking everyone's butts.

It's not even a DC week, I thought body part threads could only be started then :tape:.

Federer does not really have any extra weight, he just doesn't bother to trim his abdomen to the max, and quite rightly, because that would be completely useless for him and may be detrimental. He wins 96% of his matches, so I guess he is doing something right.

By the way, if you look closely at Hewitt, you see that he is not quite as lean as he used to be in 2001. Not only he has bulked up, he does not have quite the same muscle definition as he used to have. Of course, the "extra weight" is pretty minimal and likely has no effect on him. Ditto Roddick...
