Stop this, please.
Now we don't need to compare Andy to Djokovic.

He is a talented player, but he still behaves like a petulant, spoilt brat on court though  - and please don't say it's because he's young - other young players don't behave like babies throwing their toys out of the pram every time their oppoent makes a good shot. He ought to wash his mouth out and mind his language too

Congrats & Thank you Andy! :D
(Ya make the final MUCH better!)

Btw, does he always complaining about everything around him?? I mean, he kept talking to himself or complaining at his coach when he lost a point...
My friend said that was quite annoying!

He get's angry when he makes lots of UE's, it's totaly normal cause he want's to play his best Tennis every single minute. Tennis players who aren't getting angry when they are missing easy shots, aren't real Tennis players.

Yes, but not all of them express their anger in the same way.

I thought he played poorly.

But he kept holding serve and stayed in the match somehow. And for once it was his opponent that tired towards the end.

Done very well this week.

Now anyone know of a plan to beat Federer?

Spike his drink?

He played badly and has played badly all tournament really, low first serve percentage, playing quite passively a lot of the time, in a way that makes the wins even more impressive. His serve problems are stemming from the fact that he is not willing to compromise, he tries to hit all his 1st serve at high 120's to low 130's, once he gets consistent at these speeds he wil be a lot tougher.

I can only say: watch Nalbandian acting like a brat baby when Schuettler won a set in Halle and when he destruced almost the court, chair and bench there. Nalbandian with so bad behavior like I have not see since 10 years, Murray has not reached 2% of that level yet, he could say what ever he wants. Nalbandian throwed a racket in anger to his bench that hit the chair of the referee and almost hurt a ball girl kneeling close to the net on this side when bouncing uncontrolled.

I see myself that Haas is swearing a lot and cracking rackets, but Nalbandian was the biggest asshole that day I have seen for a decade in tennis and that was worse as what Haas has done in his whole career.

Show me one match when Haas is throwing a racket to the direction of a ball girl or chair referree and when Haas got three warning and being near disqualification and you have a reason, Sjengster.

I'm just saying, you don't have a habit of supporting saints yourself. Some of the most classless behaviour I've ever seen on a tennis court has come from your beloved Tommy Boy, just because it wouldn't have got him close to being disqualified doesn't mean it was acceptable.

I have seen much of Tommy, and he is bad and I don't say he is saint. Behaviour not always acceptable, but everything he did so far in his whole career is better than what Nalbandian did for half an hour acting like a maniac.

Not correct, I don't hate Sjengster for that topic in here. He was not the hypocrite and twofaced person who thinks Murray is so hateable, bad and a brat giving out good advice to him like "outwash mouth, mind and language" while the own favorite player did 100 times more bad things and is not known as good behaved player on his own.

Who mentioned Nalbandian? He acted like a spoilt little fool that day in Halle - and on several other occasions recently which is why I have become very p***** off with him lately - and I have never said otherwise. I've never supported any player that I like when they behave badly - if they act badly then they deserve any punishment they get.

But that doesn't have any bearing on the fact that, in my opinion, Andy Murray is a foul-mouthed little brat. He is a good player (maybe one day he might become a great player -who knows?) - but I can't stand his antics or his attitude - not just in one specific match but in almost every match I've ever seen him play. And as I live in Britain, I imagine I've seen far more matches of his than you have - including ones as a junior before he suddenly became so "popular" on MTF with people who had never heard of him 6 months ago

As for Murray saying whatever he wants - well yes - of course he can in private - but when he's on TV at a time when young kids are watching - kids that might see him as a role model - then he should be more careful with his use of the f*** every 5 minutes. I am personally offended by constant bad language - and I wouldn't want any child of mine to see/hear that.

Great win for Murray. He is still having problems getting that 1st serve in. Getting to 50% is a chore for him. If he gets that % up, he can win some big matches next year or maybe even this year.

has anybody read the second to last paragraph from that story at ATPtennis.com about the Murray Federer final?

From atptennis.com:

Murray, 18, had not reached an ATP quarterfinal before this week. He is 12-8 on the season and on Monday will become the youngest player from Great Britain since 1974 to break into the Top 10 of the INDESIT ATP Entry Ranking.

a pretty rapid ascent that caught me by surprise

Well after another crappy day out, this time to Nottingham Forest, it's very satisfying to see Andy in his first final, amazing stuff from the boy, come on! :bounce: I'd be astonished if he beat Fed now, but something tells me of a tight Fed win 7-5 6-4 or something.

That was an unbelievable big chance that Paradorn wasted today. It´s sad to see him struggling like that. I´m sure the Paradorn of the years 2002 and 2003 would have won this match in straight sets. But anyway, congrats to Andy on reaching his first ATP Tour final!
