Chela Retired today against Kiefer????

Gonzo Hates Me!

I REALLY could care a flying rat's ass about Andy playing Henman, but seems so many other people are freaking out about it... I wanted to know if this means anything. Safin withdrew from the Open and Chela took Safin's place as the next player in line to be seeded should a withdraw happen. In order for Andy not to play Henman, another seed has to withdraw from the US Open as Henman is next in line. Well, Chela just retired today in his match against Kiefer, so I guess y'all creamin' your pants better get to praying... unless he retired due to fatigue or something from stalking Gonzo and wanted to rest before the Open... get to praying

Well, I just found out he's only battling an upset stomach or something. So i don't think he will withdraw

personally, all worried if people do/don't pull out. i could care less. Andy is now in the position that he can win Slams regardless of the draws, before it wasn't like this. Chela probably withdrew from this match, which the official ATP site said some stomach virus, for extra precaution, and Costa isn't looking so hot to be playing in the US Open, so Andy just might not be playing, so Tim will be promoted to seed status. but either way, Andy's gonna get through his 1st round match, we have no reason to start worrying or biting our nails over Tim Henman. the Henman fans should be worrying and hoping another seed withdraws

Costa! He doesn't care if he shows up
and crashes out with back pain. Selfish jerk doesn't
give a damn if other players need to know who
they'll play.

It means points and money if a guy who is hobbled can come into the USO and get by a few rounds. Costa is only has to look out for himself and doesn't owe anything to any other player.
