To lose to Nalbandian yet again is just inexcusable. Roger is playing like shit. Missing so many 1st serves and making so many errors. The Rogi I know always keeps his head in the rallies and playes well. Today like in the Master's semi, he just mentally falls apart for no reason. STOP GO FOR FUCKING ACES AND JUST GET YOUR DAMN FIRST SERVE IN!!!!!!!!! Let the aces come naturally. If you serve badly you will likely lose, I don't get why he does that. Rogi just doesn't have confidence and I have no idea why. He has almost two weeks to get it together. I want him to make the qrts of the Open but I doubt he will get that far until he goes back to being a Ninja instead of a chump.
Sorry if this is harsh but its the way I feel and I hope Rogi will bounce back. :fiery:

I don't think he's playing that badly, but I doubt he was that determined to try and go deep into a second straight Masters tournament considering what he said about the schedule last week. And apart from that, to say that Nalbandian is his all-time nemesis is an understatement. I think he has to go for more on his serve to try and get cheap points - Nalbandian was smacking winners off his second serve with ease. Having said that, when he double faults twice in a row like he did at the start of the second tiebreak, I see your point. It just seems that playing Nalbandian takes so much out of him both mentally and physically.
I think he is just really feeling the heat. Rogi is a amazing returner and he didn't do enough with David's weaker serve. Rogi just didn't have his head on. That always happens when he plays him. Rogi was trying very hard but never seemed positive out there. Same thing with the Andy match. I am a huge Rogi fan so many will say I am just saying this to spite Andy, but anyone who saw that match saw Rogi just give that break back and just tank the tiebreaker. I hope Rogi can do some reflection and do great at the Open. Rogi hit more winners than David today but just didn't seem to be himself. I hope some rest and practice for the Open will make him feel more like his cold blooded killer self. I do agree with you that Rogi's remarks about playing masters back to back and the court and the ball being bigger just reeked with negativism. Rogi can't get outplayed he can only just lose his head. He does this before and its maddening. I just hope He does well at the Open. Rogi is the best player out there. Its a shame he just has been off. He was so good in his matches last week, especially the max one. I just hope the time off till the Open helps him. Your right he is not playing terrible but jus bad enough to lose. COME ON ROGI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

I think Rogi just has consistency issues. He's the greatest player out there, but can he be mentally there everyday, he is still not Rogi the Great--he's getting there... furthermore, no matter how great you are, you can't ALWAYS win. I don't want you to beat yourself up Dirk. Just look at the web Lleyton Hewitt has spun himself, and then look at Rogi. Do you feel a little better?
i didn't see the match, but losing 4 times in a row to the same player is certainly not very nice. and that player being nalbandian doesn't exactly make things better.... :o
