In their third meeting this year, who wins this time?
Nadal but this time on Hard courts or 'll Coria be able to win his second title this year ?

Discuss.. :)

It'll be tough for Coria but I have a feeling he will not go down without a fight. It could be a very good 3 setter.

yes, if Coria gives up his sudden foolish surprises of playing below level, i think it'll be an interesting and a very close one, both went through three difficult set matches on the way to the finals, though may be Coria faced tougher ones ...

Nadal-Coria, my favourite finals ever

As for the question, I haven't seen either all week, so what do I know. I suppose that I will go with Nadal, but Coria winning wouldn't be a surprise either. I'm wishy washy :)

You don't want to see Nadal win his tenth title on the year?

Actually, I kind of want Coria to win... but if he does, I can't hear the HATAS whine that Nadal blows and he will never again win ten titles in a year again - as if that is some sort of smack down

I really don't think that Coria can beat Nadal tomorrow. He was barely able to win today against Johansson. I have to say Nadal in two sets.

10 titles... jeezus.
It's crazy. I didn't realise that, I'm even more for Coria now. :)

Rafa in 3 sets. Both of these have become really good all-surface players.

nadal will win based on coria's energy level this week, but if it goes to three, i think coria will win because he has rolled through every 3rd set playing his best once he gets there. nadal has seemed far from unbeatable at both the USO and barely won his first round against gimelstob, who is far less than a ToJo.

Tojo is a totally different matchup than Gimelstob though, so you can't really say that ;)

Since losing to Federer in Miami, Nadal has been building an impressive finals win streak as well, he's undefeated in his last seven finals and looks to make it eight tomorrow.

I'm going to go with Nadal 6-3 6-1.

well, i do think Coria has better chances for beating Nadal on Hard court than on clay at least this season , to be honest , i haven't seen both this week , but seems Nadal was struggling for less tougher players except for Ferrero..it 's highly dependent on Coria's mood ..

I think Coria will take revenge for Roma. He played also very good on hard courts in the USO. But nadal is very tough. I hope it is a good match and I hope there is some televise coverage

I mean I can't stand the guy, but I have nothing but respect for his ability as a player when he is playing tennis.

Nadal wins it's Chinese clay if Coria wins it must be cause he took drugs and faked injury all at the same time.

I hope Coria in 3. I think he needs a big win to really boost his confidence which I believe will solve his erratic serving problems :banghead: and we can go back to seeing the old Guille

If Nadal wins I wonder if this surface will be called "Chinese clay".

Given that the other finalist is Coria, and not especially considered as a hard court specialist, this surface is already certified "Chinese clay"

Weasel has made finals on every surface, but only if Nadal wins it's "Chinese clay", if Coria wins it's a hardcourt that might as well be clay, a subtle difference.

believe me, His problems can go far beyond serving ones when he 's in the foolish mood, hopefully he won't be tomorrow..
and i agree about having a big winning would give him more confidence, which i think 'll benefit a lot ... but 'll tomorrow be big enough??

I hope Coria wins, but as long as it's a good match, I'll be happy. Commentators in Argentina saying Coria has a leg injury and wondered if he would play the final. Don't know how hard he'll push himself with DC looming days away. But maybe it's just a tweak that will work itself out overnight. Hopefully. I just want it to be a good match!

If I recall correctly, the past two times that Coria played the USO he reached the quarters (was unable to play in 2004 because of his shoulder). And if it wasn't for his gawdawful serving this year against Ginepri- he very well may have made it to the semis. He is no slouch on hard courts by any means. In fact, he Federer, and Nalby are the only players this year to reach the Round of 16 at all grand slams. Just because Coria does well on clay does not mean that he is a pushover on hard- not at all.

I hope both players play really well and we have a great match. Nadal is starting to get his act together and Coria did so as well during his third set against ToJo. I like both of them, so will be happy for either to win (and sad for the loser).

Nadal played Blake, not Ginepri, but I get your point.

Neither Nadal or Coria can be considered clay specialists. Both play their best on clay yes, but they are capable of playing well on hardcourts and in Coria's case even grass. True claycourters falter on the faster surfaces. I agree that this is a true hardcourt final.

I was talking about Coria playing Ginepri in the quarters, not Nadal. Sorry if that was unclear. :)

Actually Guille is more experienced on h/c even tho Rafa won a TMS on h/c this year... s be interesting! ;)
