As a Brit I would have to say Murray v Nalbandian at Wimbledon. It was more than a tennis match and 5 sets of pure theatre. The dawn of a new beginning for British fans and a breath of fresh air from the usual middleclass homegrown players of SW19.

Definitely Federer-Safin AO SF. Unbeliveable match. My second favorite is Safin-Ferrero at RG. Those two are all I like in tennis!

Otherwise - of matches I have seen, which are very few - I also really liked this weekend's US Open Final: Andre really made Roger work for it and played some of his best tennis.

2K5 OZ SF - Safin d. Federer

The Wimby Final was a good match from a Federer point of view; unfortunately Roddick looked clueless.

Australian Open:Safin d. Federer
A legendary match that couldn't get much closer if you look at the statistics, and one that was great result for the men's game. Safin played out of his mind in a performance that was a far bigger career win than his 2000 win over Pete Sampras in the US Open final. Still, Federer has match points and wins more points, hits more winners and fewer unforced errors than Safin. Fed was a point away from that trophy, he would have rolled over Lleyton in the final.

French Open: Nadal v Puerta
This was an awesome French open final match with Puerta coming out all guns firing and attacking from the baseline with his classic flowing clay court game and giving Nadal problems from the offset. Nadal rose to the occasion and played a great counter punching match with some breath taking touches. Another favorite v outsider French open! (Gaudio bt Coria, Ferrero bt Verkerk, Costa bt Ferrero)

Wimbledon: Federer v Ferrero
Not a close match, but one between two of my favourite players. Ferrero, written off by many as a force on grass, reaches the last 16 in an impressive performance that made me think he might be back as a force in the game for real. Federer here puts on a brilliantly dominant show. The drama heats up in the third set, which goes to a tiebreak with Ferrero attacking a teeing off on every shot and trying to push Federer around and into longer and longer rallies. Federer, impeccable on his serve, is simply pushed by Ferrero's play onto another level, turning defense into attack with some awesome touches that proved why he is one of the best fast court player of all time.

US Open: Agassi v Blake
Here the old man, without win at a grandslam, since February makes one of the greatest comebacks of his career to defeat his red-hot countryman James Blake. A gutsy performance to come back from the brink against an opponent brimming with confidence.

Murray Vs Stepanek - made extra special as Henman had just lost to Tursonov and British tennis had nothing to cheer for.

Also liked Sanguinetti vs Scrichipan , Ginepri vs Coria from US Open

Federer Vs Safin was pretty good aswell
