Yeah, I thought of one last thread we needed... you know, for all the articles about him that are written, etc.

NOW we are set with the threads I believe.

But this will be the lovely place where our Serbian friends post the articles and we wait for translations :)

Ok, basically Novak is saying that US Open is just the beginning, he is hoping to be no.1 some day, that's his goal. He played a training session against Federer and won, so he says Roger is great and he learnt a lot from him.
He is having an operation to sort out the problem with his breathing before the end of the season; playing Hopman Cup with Ana I; he is single and looking.

And apparently he has 2 brothers who play tennis and are extremely talented.

I cant wait untill Hopman Cup, it's my favourite tournament.
I constantly lobbied the blood organisers and Ana Ivanovic managers to invite SCG to play Hopman Cup and I'm so glad they'll play cos I might go and see them live, if not then two channels will broadcast it live. I cant wait. I seriously think the kids can win it, I mean ANA will not drop a single set in her singles rubber, cos she's just to good.
I'm also confident they can win the mixed as the Serbs will just Ace them off court cos both have such powerfull serves :p .
I cant wait till January

Yeah I feel so filthy coming here but I hust wanted to make sure that it was TRUE that ANA will play Hopman Cup :D . Because she needs a male partner so I though since Tipsarevic is crap and Nenad doesnt play singles that the only person left would be this little punk Novak, so I just wanted to see if there were any interviews that confirmed Ana's participation at HC.
I dont give a rats about Djokovic I just wonna see my girl LIVE in Perth, so I just hope this punk doesnt do anything bad to in the meantime and force SCG to withdraw from the tournament, like France did last year  , OK.

so now I'm gonna logg off for good from this crapy site, WTAworld is so much better and nicely organised.....Now I will go back to the wtaworld as soon as my 7 day suspention comes off tomorrow for calling Venus a Penis  :haha: .

anyway good luck to Novak in his little career, he does see VERY talented, but keep your hands OFF my Anci  .

What I don't understand is how can someone love only women's or men's tennis and hate the other one? I mean, tennis is tennis, if you find it boring then both men's and women's are boring and if you find it amusing that both are amusing!

Jelena
09-15-2005, 09:45 PM

Ok, now in English ;): Nataša, not really. I know myself...I only watch women's tennis, when I have to, cause after that there is men's tennis, which I love. It's true, tennis is tennis, but for me women's tennis is much more boring than men's.

Nor do I, but I don't let it bother me. I used to date a guy who was 18 when I was 20 (a mistake, for sure... too immature). Nevertheless, I could look at pictures of him when he was 17 and think he was attractive then without feeling guilty about it... it wasn't like I could go back in time and molest him.

Now if you look at pictures of Novak at age 3 and still get that funny feeling in your pelvis, then there's a little something wrong with you.

Personally, I'm going to avoid making any statements of this nature. We don't know what shape either player will be in at that point, and Serbia has to win a round before making it to that tie anyways. If it so happens that the matchup occurs and Novak loses, for whatever reason, the Murraytards will be all over comments like this.

Nastavak sezone u prestonici Španije
06.oktobar 2005. [20:00]

Novak isn't playing in Vienna cos he wants to recover for the tourney in Spain

Djokovic shatters Puerta's Masters Cup hopes By Patrick Vignal
Tue Nov 1, 2:17 PM ET

PARIS (Reuters) - Teenage qualifier Novak Djokovic ruined Mariano Puerta's hopes of making the year-end Masters Cup when he upset the fourth seed 6-3 7-6 in the second round of the Paris Masters on Tuesday.

Argentine Puerta needed to reach the final of the indoor tournament to stand a chance of claiming a spot at the eight-strong season finale from November 13 in Shanghai.

On a bad day for Argentine tennis, second seed Guillermo Coria also disappeared from the lucrative event, brushed aside 6-4 6-2 by Czech Tomas Berdych.

Coria, who would have secured a Masters Cup berth with a victory, looked clumsy and made a string of unforced errors.

The Argentine can still win a ticket to Shanghai but his fate depends on how the other seven contenders still in the draw will fare in Paris.

The 18-year-old Djokovic, ranked 85th in the world, delighted the fans in the high-tech Bercy hall with some exciting tennis and showed composure to win the second set's tie break 11-9.

"He's a future champion," Puerta said of the talented youngster from Serbia and Montenegro. "The next time he comes to Bercy, he will be in the top 30, I'm sure."

Puerta was returning to Paris for the first time since he reached the French Open final last June.

BLACK MASK

He said he never hesitated to come to the French capital despite a report by French sports daily L'Equipe that he had tested positive for a banned substance during the French Open.

"I wanted to be here," said Puerta, who has denied any wrongdoing. "I've had a great year and I worked very hard."

Djokovic entered the outside court where the match was played wearing a black mask on his eyes and said afterwards it was a reference to Halloween.

"He's young," Puerta said when asked about it. "I thought it was quite funny."

Unlike Puerta and Coria, Russia's Nikolay Davydenko stayed on course for a Masters Cup slot, crushing former champion Greg Rusedski 6-2 6-2.

Davydenko, seeded third, needed only 59 minutes to move past Rusedski, who won the indoor tournament in 1998 and would have made sure of ending the season as the British number one ahead of Tim Henman had he won.

"I really felt I couldn't get through him at all today and I didn't feel like I played as well as I could," said Rusedski, who will have one last chance to overtake Henman when he plays a second-tier challenger tournament in Ukraine.

A semi-finalist at this year's French Open, Davydenko sits in seventh place in the ATP Champions race and will qualify for Shanghai if he can hold on to that spot.

Novak is 75th in the world - the best ranking till now!

Novak Djokovic went up for ten positions on new ATP singles rankings, and he is 75th player of the world at this moment with 515 points. Owing to placement in the third round of ATP Master Series Tournament in Paris, he provided his best career rank at the end of year 2005.

In doubles he falls on position 562 (from 564), on ATP Race rankings he "jumped" on 83 with 78 points.

NOVAK IS IN AN AMERICAN MAGAZINE!

Not a picture or anything... but his name. And it's VERY positive and stuff and it's the first time I've really seen him mentioned.

It's in this piece of crap magazine Tennis Life. This is from the February issue, but it clearly went to press much earlier, probably sent off to printers in December. Wow I am sounding like a magazine major right now. Anyway, everything about this magazine is crap.. the stories, the quality of their design... everything... BUT... I will scan the page in tomorrow.

It was written clearly before the AO, but it's in this column "Ten things you will see happening in 2006" and it's the first one:

"Marcos Baghdatis, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray all making a tilt for the top 20."

:yeah: :yeah: :yeah:

He needs match practice. Practicing with a friend is completely different than competing... and that is what he needs.. competition. This is an awful decision on his part. I hate to say it, but expect another first round exit in Miami, if that's his gameplan.

has always been a problem with Novak... he just doesn't play enough tournaments. It was a major problem last year too.

He practices way too much and plays way too little. His ranking is going to start going in the wrong direction unless he shows up to matches he should win and actually plays.

Our Novak is on the list for Barcelona. It's a pretty big clay court tournament. The same point-level as Dubai (300pts. for the winner). It might be the only non-Masters/Slam event he'll play on clay, pre-Wimbledon.

It starts April 24.

World number 67, Novak Djokovic and his coach, Italian Riccardo Piatti have defined the tournaments which our player will play in next three months.

The first one Nole will be playing next week in Miami (Masters Series). After it, 18-years-old will move away to Europe, in Glasgow, where he is going to represent Serbia and Montenegro in Davis Cup competition against Great Britain (7th - 9th April 2006).

Afterwards, Djokovic will continue his season 2006 on European clay courts:

17th April 2006 Monte Carlo
24th April 2006 Barcelona
08th May 2006 Rome
15th May 2006 Hamburg
28th May 2006 Roland Garros

No, lol. He would have played if we needed him to. He was still there in the celebrating... he's short, so you can't see him, but I clearly see his tattoos in one picture :p

It's a long flight to Houston from Glasgow, but I'm sure this was worth it for him.
