Not a hell of a lot. This is the last of a 4 day minivacation and it has been bliss. Weather has been great, and I have played tennis everyday. Actually I think I have spent more time outside then inside. Today is Nate's 13th birthday so we are still trying to figure out what to do.

 Well I use to be quite good in my teens and 20's. Quit once I was in my internship/residency. Hubs is anything BUT a sportsman and I since I also had been a swimmer I really only had the time for that. Especially once the boys came along. A year ago AQ gave me an idea and I went to play doubles. Then when the good weather came here( I would rather be outside playing) I started up again but really just rallying for practice. I haven't graduated to games yet

Because you took a very condescending attitude towards my trip because you could plan your entire itinerary all by yourself. All I am saying is that when I am in a city I can plan 100% what I am going to do. They planned the trains and the hotels. That is all. It didn't really seem like much of a joke when I wasn't even around and you're telling people how busy I'm going to be when it's not even true. That's all.

I was joking with Adam only, ask him yourself, he knows I have no ill will or attitude towards you. You have got to be one of the most paranoid people I have ever encountered. I'm sorry if you fail to see the humor in what I orginally said, which was that you will be with your group, i.e. at some points in the trip you have to meet up with them (like to check into the hotels, etc.) while I'm all alone. I never once said you were going to spend every minute of your trip with them nor did I never believe you would.

Chill, I was just explaining how I misunderstood you. And no, I don't really think it's funny when you tell someone "Jess will be with her group, I will be all alone." That does not infer that once in a while I will be with my group, it infers all the time. That's all. You may not have said that I am going to be busy 100% of the time, but thats how your words made it seem.

And I was just trying to make it clear that what your words conveyed were infact incorrect so that when I am atttempting to meet up with someone while I'm there that they are aware that I am not too busy to see them and that I am infact very much looking forward to meeting them.

That's all. It has nothing to do with paranoia, it has everything to do with me just wanting to get the facts straight.

Julio's been living with his family in Melun, it's about a 20 minute train ride SE of Paris. He's flying back to France on May 12th but I don't know how long he'll stay there if he found an apartment. He was trying to get tickets for the 2nd week of RG from one of his cousins who apparently has those sort of connections, but of course I'll be gone by then, I'm flying home from Gatwick on June 4th.

Swiss chocolate is quality as is the Belgian stuff.

I remember when I was in Zürich one of my friends wanted to do a tour of the Lindt factory, but he was shattered when I told him they don't do tours.

Worked out OK anyway, as I knew someone who worked there and we went around to his place and there was enough to make him happy.

They say it's for strict hygiene reasons, but more likely they don't want the recipe to be known.

The drama is nothing too exciting... typical stuff with my roomie arguing with her boyfriend who isn't good enough for her and plays all these stupid mind games with her. I for one don't appreciate that he told her once that he "owns" her. He gets really mad if she doesn't like sit around all the time just twiddling her thumbs and waiting for him to call. He expects her to have absolutely no life besides him. I hate him and I've never even met him. Anyway, they are having issues because when she went out for dinner with her friends because its the last time she'll see them since we're leaving in a week.. he freaked out because she had a drink with dinner and said that he needed "to rethink her". Not rethink their relationship... but to rethink HER. WTF. So... honestly I hope they break up because she's getting in a pattern of being with abusive boyfriends and she needs someone who treats her better than this.

Basically what he does is he goes, "Oh sweetie, you're #1 in my life, nothing comes before you." and he gets mad if she's too busy to talk on the phone because she's #1. Well what he has done time and time again is that he'll say "Ok, let's talk on the phone at 8" or something and then he'll make other plans instead. This is a long distance relationship, so phone dates are all they have for another week. So he'll make other plans, but he gets mad at her if she does then too. I don't know.. he's a freak. He got mad because my roomie's dad calls her "Princess" and he's like "But you're my princess. I can't call you that if he does too. I don't want to share you." And she's like "UM... it's my DAD."

Thanks for the update, but you will be meeting up with Julio eventually? I mean if you go to the venue at RG, you will get tickets, just a question of how much you want to pay.

Well they are famous for their love football in Newcastle, that and Newcastle Brown Ale.

Though such characters as Sting and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits singer) are from the area.

Upmarket version of grits, but once it's cooked and let it cool down, then it can be used with a lot of things and can be baked, grilled or fried with the right stuff, it works quite well.

If people can get tickets to World Cup finals and Olympic Games events that were sold that, then you can get into RG.

It might require a bit of lateral thinking and wheeling and dealing, but it's not impossible.

I have tickets for the 1st Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I'm going to arrive in Paris on the Saturday night and go back to London on Friday morning. So the Wednesday would be the only day I'd be in Paris and since I heard it was Kids' Day, I think it's best I spend that day away from the tennis. Paris has great shopping and musuems so I should take advantage considering I haven't been there in 6 years.

I am slightly disturbed.

I dress well.... wtf. And I'm watching "How Do I Look" on the Style network. For my friends outside America... it's this show where someone is brought on to have a make over and they bring on two accomplices and the accomplices and a professional go out and buy them stuff that they should be wearing... then they pick a collection of outfits that one of the people got for them, etc. Like... it's sort of like What Not to Wear except in this show they have a choice which look they like the best, it's not just professionals shopping for them... but it's a similar show.

Well I'm watching it now and this lady was brought on who is over 50 at least... she's a grandma and her daughters say she dresses too trashy (and she does.) Well, the professional was out shopping for her and picked up a skirt THAT I OWN and said it was age appropriate.

SAY WHAT?

I don't dress like I'm over 50. AND I OWN THAT SKIRT. It was the EXACT same skirt. I am completely disturbed.

Carito_90

Well see... but more her age still does not = dressing 22! She's older than my mother.

It makes me feel bad that my skirt is considered okay for someone over twice my age to be wearing.

:( Let me see if I still have the picture of it.... okay... it was THIS skirt. I *just* got it. I haven't even worn it yet... it's not like... that old right? Like people aren't going to be like "Why is that girl dressing like a grandma?"

No it's not! You know, it also depends on how you wear it. If you wear it low on your hips with a nice pair of shoes and a cool jacket it'll look more for young women. If you wear it almost on your waist line and and with old boring shoes it might look more for an older woman. I really wouldn't say it's for that kind of age though. They want to make her look more modern probably.

I would wear it, although I think it's too long for me and would make me look even shorter.

:secret: I don't swap clothes with my daughter because she is 8 but I swap clothes with my son (14). No, let me paraphrase this: I steal clothes from my son :o , specially his sweatshirts and cardigans. I love the comfort of masculine wear. :)

My style in clothes is what might be called classic, basic, or casual "chic". I am allergic to man-made fibres so I only wear 100% natural fibres, mainly cotton. So, in winter, I usually wear a jeans, white blouse/t-shirt and a light-wool black or corduroy tobacco blazer. In summer, the blazer is gone, so it's a jeans/ivory pants and colorful tees/blouses. More than often, I am in jog pants and assorted tops. My favourite colour is black so I have at least 4-5 black slacks, 3-4 black blazers/suits. I accessorise a lot with bright colors, mainly orange, kiwi/applegreen and bright pink. I also love skirts (specially the ankle-length spanish style) and colorful casual dresses. It helps that I can sew, so when I like something, I do it myself in different colours.

I would wear the skirt you posted but in my favorite colour, black. Like you, I just loooove flip-flops. I think they were invented for me, specially that I stopped wearing high heels since I was 30 because of my weak back. I would wear the skirt on my waistline (I hate hipsters  ), like Caro suggested, with flip-flops and a fancy blouse. So, to answer your question, yes, I would swap some clothes with you if you were my daughter, not on a regular basis though.

And got it... a kick for Adam and a hug for Adam :) I will follow through on that!

Please do but remember which is from whom.

ciao....what about ur son, when we'll see him in Rome? :D...in this case i'll go there too...and maybe finally we'll meet

That would be great Betty but I hoped we could meet earlier if you decide to come to Egypt. If we wait until Mostaf makes it to Rome, it will take forever. :)

why busy? store is about to be sold, next month to be exact, all for the best though and most importantly I have no regrets

I was busy with Mostaf's end-of season tennis, my father was a bit ill, I was a bit ill, general everyday issues to take care of that decided to pop up in April all of a sudden.

Glad to hear about the store's issue being settled. Good to know the "no regrets" part. It's the right attitude Prabu. :)

How's Manisha? Still travelling a lot? A big  to her.

Hello yourself. Sorry I've been so AWOL. They're really keeping me busy at work...trying to get as much out of me as possible.

Glad your cousin has survived Stage 1 of her adventure. Hope Mom and little Brayden are A-OK. We're still on schedule for a mid-July popping out.

 Maybe they are afraid you won't come back from maternity leave.

My cousin has 2 daughters already so she finally got the son she wanted, even though apparently he looks just like my mum when she was a baby. :o I told my mum he was her namesake (she's Brenda).

Glad everything is going fine for you and AP.

I would too. And she had a boyfriend who was physically abusive and she said this is 100x worse than that... she's also said in the past that if someone cheated on her that would be it and she would dump him in a heartbeat.

....but now that it actually happened she's not so solid on that. And I want her to be... but now she is definitely not going to trust another guy ever again.

What's the color of your graduation robe? Even if the outfit is under the robe which I assume is not buttoned until the hem, part of the skirt will be seen when you walk or if you cross your legs. If you are sure the outfit will be fully covered, go for it.

As Lee said, the colour of the skirt is tough to match. I would choose a printed colourful top rather than a solid colour :D .

IMHO, make sure she understands and know that if it happened to you, you wouldn't take it. Then, try not to mention him as much as you can. Concentrate on her and how she feels. If you keep criticising him, she will side with him and try to find him excuses. Remind her of what she always thought about cheating. Tell her you know it's hard but if she gives in this time, she probably will keep giving in to his cheating because probably he'll do it again. If she's still undecided on what to do, suggest that at least she should give herself a chance to think it over for a few days and then decide.

That's what I've been trying so far. Thanks. The thing is that I didn't think he was good enough for her even before we knew he cheated on her.... so it's very hard for me to not be adamant about kicking him to the curb. I love each item separately and that skirt is something I would definitely swap with you (not the top though as I need more coverage for my age :o and I am not naturally endowed in the chest area ;) ) . I'd wear it with a gold lurex body or a sequined gold blouse and matching flip-flops :D . It's a BEAUTIFUL skirt.

I don't know if it's been answered but IMO yes, it matches. First because the shirt has golden/beige in cleavage and the skirt has like a golden embroidery. So if you wear it with a brown jacket or brown shoes or brown purse, it'd look perfect. :)

But um anyway... well, I guess I could have just disappeared as I always do but because I know some of you care about me, so I've just come to let you guys know I won't be seen for a while, again. These days I've discovered a few sides of me that I can't even stand myself and emotionally I am pretty damn low. And I feel my friends are putting superficial things before me and I don't understand what I did to deserve such treatment. And just everything's pissing me off. Nothing to worry about though, it's just the teenage hormones screaming to be heard.

Well I don't want my peers to see me this way (I know this is pretty bad as is, but trust me if I were to stay on, it'll get worse lol) so yeah until I become the happy and good person I strive to be, well...... goodbyeee.

Knowing me I'll probably be back soon though
