Katharine and Elliot :)

I like Chris but I don't LOVE him anymore. He's at the point now where he no longer needs American Idol to get a record deal ;)

My favourite is Elliott by far! :worship:

Chris is overrated and overexposed. The producers obviously want him to win.

No, its just Americans. Like our Internet service providers would slow it down or speed it up. Not the internet itself. They would just let the transfer of information be faster to the people they service to these certain websites. MTF itself wouldn't slow down.. it would just slow down to Americans. Which in itself... also not fair. Since it is a WORLD Wide Web, last I checked ;)

And not all Internet providers would be the same. I get cable internet at home through my cable provider, Patmedia. Someone who gets cable internet from Time Warner could get Amazon.com faster than I do for example because Amazon.com might pay Time Warner money but not Patmedia.

It's a little confusing, but it just means that the transfer rate between these sites and our computers would be regulated by the Internet service providers to speed up only the sites that they find favorable.

Guys, I think I discussed in here my EXTREME fear of bees, yes?

Well I get back from class today (my last day of classes ever)... and it was AWFUL by the way. First my magazine professor talks about like... graduation and I get teary eyed, but I survive. Then in history the TA puts up pictures of planes hitting the World Trade Center. I am already emotional about graduation and then you show me that? Again, teary eyed. So then I get to history and got my paper back and was kind of like  when I looked at it. And not shock in a pleasant way either.

So I come home, exhausted emotionally, mentally and physically and I hear a buzzing noise that sounds like its INSIDE. A WASP infiltrated my bedroom and was INSIDE. I like freak out and run to the supermarket to get like.. insecticide. Well they don't have any so I have to go to a different store. I come back and I SOAK my window area with the bug stuff.

Now I am laughing at the bees outside as they attempt to approach my window, get a whiff of the spray and bolt in the other direction. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I win.

savesthedizzle
05-02-2006, 10:10 PM
Okay part II of the bee story.

So I'm downstairs and I hear a noise and a bee has infiltrated down there too! Like wtf but it is dumb and is caught between the screen and the sliding door. So like first I tap the window just to freak it out, then I leave it alone for a bit while I grab my spray and then I just point at it and say "You're going down buster." And just by pointing at it it fell off the screen to the bottom of the door and died.

My roommate when seeing this is like, "OMG you are Harry Potter. Don't point at me ever please."

I have issues with bees. Clearly.

My roommate is afraid of whales though. I think mine is slightly more normal.com.

And... what's so wrong with liking someone? I would LOVE to meet someone that is even WORTH liking. All the guys I meet are seriously losers. And my roomie's boyfriend is awful but she thinks he's amazing and I just think to myself, "Do I really have to settle for some jerk like that some day?" You never know! I also dislike bees...and fear seagulls. :scared: I got traumatized when I was in grade school. There were always these gulls flying over all the lunch tables and they would plant loud smelly bombs all over us! I remember my friend Paul had it worst...we were talking at a bench and I called his name so he turned over to face me...and that very instant a huge puddle went splat on his face! :scared::lol:

OMG SEAGULLS. I hate those wretched creatures as well. When we were at the shore one time my mom was eating a hot dog and trying to be secretive about it so they wouldn't see. Well she had maybe two bites of one left and a seagull swooped down and not only stole her hotdog, but crapped on her as well.

I don't like them. I am always ALWAYS afraid one will relieve itself over my head.

Btw, I met a guy from New Jersey yesterday called Kyle. Apparently there's an amazing theme park there called Great Adventures or something

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yes, lol Great Adventure is great. :rolls: That is the most random thing to have said about New Jersey ever.

Nothing much is going on. Well that's a lie actually. I have an exam tomorrow for my US History class, and I have to write a final paper for my Russian history class and I have an exam on Monday for my communications law class and I need to rewrite another paper for my Russian class because I was a moron the first time I handed it in.

But since I just woke up, I need to waste some time before I start all that nonsense :p

It's coz he was asking if I'd been to America, so I said I had, and that I went to Disneyworld. So he informed me that Great Adventure is much better for rollercoasters :p

Ooooh good luck for your exam! Sounds like you've got quite a lot of work at the moment!

I need to go in a minute, but I'll be back on later, in like 3 hours or something....

Great Adventure is A LOT better for roller coasters. It really really is. Kingda Ka is the tallest, fastest one apparently in the world ;)

:wavey: I do have a lot of work but I'm sure I will manage :D My exam is at 8 am tomorrow though... that's a bit ridiculous.

Plus Great Adventure's safari is better than the one at Disney World nowadays. You drive your own car through it and like monkeys jump all over it (I would recommend driving only old cars through... lol.) and there are giraffes and stuff and you just drive through and can see stuff. I remember when it first opened it was SO cool. I think nowadays people forget about the safari. But I will never forget being in a car covered by monkeys.

My favorite SU football player Steve Gregory signed as a free agent with the Chargers :) If he doesn't make it, he'll do fine in life because unlike many college athletes, he had a real major, actually went to class and is a really smart guy.

That said, good luck to Steve. I hope you fare better in training camp with San Diego than my hometown boy Jared Jones did with the Eagles.

:woohoo: One final done :)

It was awful. I had it from 8-10 a.m. today and I was barely awake, but I'm writing the first essay question and I felt like I was taking forever, so I started the second (we had 2 "long"-ish essays, then 3 "short" essays, and then another I would say medium essay to write... all in 2 hours...) and they write that its 8:40 and I think "Crap I still have 4 essays to write and I still need to finish this one!" So I completely spaz out and start writing at a scary supersonic pace. I'm SURE time is almost up so I'm rushing and rushing and rushing through. I *think* I still did a decent job. So I turn it in and I'm CONVINCED it must be at least 9:45.

It was 9:20. Somehow I wrote 4.5 essays in a ridiculous amount of time. :o

I hope they turned out okay. I was lucky with this final as its on US History 1970-present and that is my happy zone of knowledge so I was able to draw upon a lot of random stuff to throw in. :scared:

But now I just have a final on Monday and then a paper due Tuesday and then I sit around and be lazy until I graduate! :aparty:

Woops! Capetown :bolt: sorry!
Yes Iza- I played tennis has a teen and young adult. Every single day! After medical school and in my internship and residency I really did not have the time. And by the time I made it to being an attending in the Navy I was more into swimming. Rarely played tennis anymore. Plus Hubs doesn't do any sports at all. So until last year after talking with AQ here I had not picked up a racquet in about 20 years or so. Last year I played doubles with some friends but did not enjoy it as they were way to competitive for me. But I have taken my kids out, hitting on a backboard to get my timing in gear and played with a neighbor. Just plain hitting, no games.

Um. Jess is not going to be with her group really. For the record. Unless they do something incredibly interesting, I have the option of being with them if I chose and not being with them if I chose.

Jess will be with her group in cities she's never been to before, and especially in cities where she can't speak the language, lol... but in London? I don't think so.

I have a bit of a record hating tour guides and hating college age kids. Apparently its not even just Syracuse people for me to hate, but also NC State and Case students. I'm intrigued, but wonder how large this group is? I definitely don't plan on wandering around with 100 people.

They were like, "HELLO?" and I'm like "Erm.. hello?" And they're like "Where's doubie?" And I'm like "Erm.. who?" And they're like "Oh boy, wrong one."

It's funny because they were not here to rob me and because my dad walked into my neighbors house and didn't realize that it wasn't mine and was calling "Jess! Jess!" before some guy was like "Erm?" :rolls: I need to call my dad and say that they did it to me now. Hahahaha.

Ugh... I'm feeling annoyed already. :( My singing professor called to tell me he had hired another female singing professor and he told me if I wanted I could start taking lessons with her because she had time during the week and he thought it was better if I did it with a woman... but I don't want to. :( Saturdays at 2pm is perfect for me and I really like him, he's cool and I don't wanna go through another 'getting to know someone' process. :o So yeah I just told him it was better for me on Saturday and THANKFULLY he said she didn't work that day so yeah... but still. I'm afraid the day and time isn't good for him or something like that so he wants to change me. It's just annoying.

Great start of day. :(

REGGIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :inlove: :hearts:

Haha no plans. Well sort of. Well, I don't know if I got accepted into graduate school yet to get certified to be a teacher. Erm.. if I don't get in, I may attempt to get an internship of some sort with the USTA and I might ditch the teaching idea for a bit. If the internship idea doesn't pan out.... well... then I will reconsider reapplying places.

I was just teasing Adam. And I meant that you are going on a group-organized trip, whereas I am travelling alone on an iterinary planned entirely by me. Personally, I've only been on one school trip abroad - it was Italy for 9 days with about 14 other kids, all friends or acquaintances so it was a fabulous time. :)

This will be my 5th journey to London, I've always done it alone as it's much easier to blend in with the locals that way.

And by my response I meant to say that my itinerary in London is planned completely by me. Infact, if I wanted to, my itinerary for while I'm in every other city on the trip could STILL be planned completely by me. I'm not 10. I don't have chaperones.

And this is not a "school" trip. I graduate next Sunday. I am not in "school" anymore. It's a trip organized by a travel agency just like any other trip someone may take. It is not educational and I don't HAVE to do anything.

It is a trip run FOR college students from multiple universities who have just graduated. It's not like... run by school but it's run by a travel agency for parents to give their college graduates as a graduation present. Just like trips run for gay people or for senior citizens.

Perhaps student is a bad word. Other post-student 21-22 year olds. Is that better?

:wavey: (relatively) long time no see again pretties. I should give up on MTF. :o

Today I had my volunteer interview for ATP Masters Canada YAY. I think they liked me & they pretty much gave me a spot so 10 free tickets & 100-level seatfillers here I come  So Jess, hold back on buying tickets for a while if you want :) and I'll let you know when I get more info about specific redeemable dates, or things like that. anyone else coming? :D

New York road trip doesn't seem likely this year after all.

I have an exam tomorrow and then a take-home exam that's due on Tuesday then I'm done. My parents come on Friday, I have my Communications school convocation Saturday and then Sunday is commencement, me and my mom ship my dad home with 95% of my stuff, we're going to go play tennis and then go home on Monday.

Everyone I know at other schools keeps telling me about these "Senior Weeks" where they all go bar hopping or have all these parties... Syracuse doesn't do that :( Odd for such a party school.

I don't remember exactly what I did that week ( and no I was not drunk :ras: ) There was a lottery to get stuff so many were quite good even though you paid. I do remember not partaking of the first few days and heading to Cape Cod with friends. One friend had a house there so we took over the place and just beached it. The Cape was cold in May  I think we huddled over each other most of the daytime;)

I'm still not sure why you are arguing about this, when if you reread my post, I called your trip 'group-organized' (you did once say that they were arranging all the hotels & transportation between cities), and I called MINE a school one, as it was just kids from my school with a teacher and one of our assistant principals.

Because you took a very condescending attitude towards my trip because you could plan your entire itinerary all by yourself. All I am saying is that when I am in a city I can plan 100% what I am going to do. They planned the trains and the hotels. That is all. It didn't really seem like much of a joke when I wasn't even around and you're telling people how busy I'm going to be when it's not even true. That's all.
