No words of advice Jess- you are smart enough to figure things out but venting makes you feel better doesn't it? As you get older and wiser ( at least when it comes to people) you realize that you have few GOOD friends among the many people you know;)
Now I am a mother and I never talk about weight with my kids. Never forcefed-just had good options for them. And if they did not feel that hungry good enough. We even use to have occasional ice cream sundaes for dinner just for fun when they were younger and finicky. I guess I am lucky as they eat very healthy. I suspect my eldest will always be a vegetarian. Anyway I have seen Jess and she is not fat! Sheesh. She is adorable! And yes GW- you would like her body;) Now how's about a picture of you

Yeah, I had figured out not to trust this girl back when she ditched me on this trip the first time. I really shouldn't have been shocked that she'd decide to do it anyway.

:yeah: for vegetarians. I went through a phase of vegetarianism in my eary teenage years, but then Thanksgiving came and I couldn't deal with not eating turkey. So now it's a red meat free diet instead. :p

Jess: Elliott is screwed :sobbing:

Well, what I'm hoping for is some major Katherine backlash. On Monday on the radio people were calling in and they were PISSED that Katherine was still on the show and they were saying how they had tried to call in for all the boys so that she'd leave.

I'm hoping people are STILL furious enough to vote for Elliott just to send her home.

That's my wish anyway.

I need Elliott to stay :(

savesthedizzle

I never vote and I got through 4 times for Elliott yesterday. My mom voted for Taylor once.

My mom apparently enjoys him.

I was sick of hitting the redial button after four votes for Elliott though. I hope my four votes save him. :(

I hope so. :) I didn't get to vote the night before Mandisa got sent home.

BTW, have you heard any of this crazy shit about them doing a recount of last week's votes?

Oh my goodness. I had not heard that they were actually doing a recount. I know of the controversy with people saying they dialed Chris but got Katherine's recording or something.. but how can they recount those? How do you know which calls were mistakes or not.

Haute
05-17-2006, 06:54 PM
I don't know how they'd do it, my sister-in-law was telling me about it yesterday.

savesthedizzle
05-17-2006, 06:55 PM
I don't think it's really possible.

Dial Idol has Elliott leaving, but I believe Katherine is within the margin of error... so there's still hope. :(

Then my mom informed me I was getting fat. Well no those weren't her words, but it's what she MEANT.

I'm not in college anymore... WTF? I cannot deal. I can't. :(
 that is so scarily similar to what happened to me!

I kind of cried when I left South Africa, I was really sad to go and I'm gonna miss some of the people I've met there so much.

Then when I got home I weighed myself and I put on like over a stone while I was there. I'm horribly fat now :awww: you're not going to love me anymore

Yeesh, that's steep. Tuition fees here are about £3000 per year for a full time course. But you don't have to pay it yourself till you earn £15000 plus, then they deduct installments automatically, so it's not so painful ;)

They're just like fake exams. They give it to us like a couple weeks before the real thing just so we know how we can handle it and highlight areas of weak knowledge.

The travel agency gave us a suggested list of things to pack and they suggest FIVE SHIRTS for a 17 day trip. My trip is 24 days.

Honestly... five shirts? I am packing as many as my suitcase can hold. Screw doing laundry on vacation. They also recommend only one pair of shoes.

They clearly have not met me. Luckily my suitcase is within their size limits and will hold plenty of shirts for me to wear.

Perhaps it's so that you'll have room to bring home a shitload of souvenirs. :p That ended up being my biggest problem from London, I had no room for everything I bought.
The only souvenir Jess will want from London is me, and now that I'm fat I won't be able to fit in the suitcase :crying2:

Anyone have any opinions of this suit: http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?rcid=womens&scid=cat90036&sscid=&navroot=womens&productId=0461_2039_pinkstripe

Clearly there are matching bottoms.

I have to go to the next town over to go to the bank since the branch in my town is under construction so I was thinking of seeing The DaVinci Code while I was there, but do I want to see it? It got icky reviews and I've read the book. If I don't, I could be here for Mario and Tommy's matches. Hmmm.... Brian what do you think my movie guru?

It got 19% on the tomato meter

Time Magazine- "... it's not very good -- long (2hr.32min.) and mostly inert."

Roger Ebert- "The movie works; it's involving, intriguing and constantly seems on the edge of startling revelations." :secret: He picked crash over BBM for BP so what the hell does he know :p

Washington Post- "The most controversial thriller of the year turns out to be about as exciting as watching your parents play Sudoku."

Detroit News(I know who cares)- "Here's the gospel on The Da Vinci Code: It's a total snore."

Variety- "An oppressively talky film that isn't exactly dull, but comes as close to it as one could imagine with such provocative material."

New York Post- "... a crackling, fast-moving thriller that's every bit as brainy and irresistible as Dan Brown's controversial bestseller."

I included the only two positive review snippets I could find :p

I decided against the movie... too long and too crappy of reviews... and since I read it... I'd probably be disappointed. I never liked the casting of Hanks anyway.
