this is actually going to be Roger's hardest match. Kiwi is a tough nut (fruit) to crack on hard court and will give Roger a run for his money. Hopp, Roger!!!

I hate these interviews at night after a pretty boring match. I don't know why players feel they have to do interviews after every match. Especially the ones that play at night and get of court late. There's nothing to say, just let them get back to their hotel room and get some rest.

I never really imagined anything other than a Roger victory (honest!), but knew that Kiefer would take a set off him - he always does. I admire Nicolas Kiefer - he's not afraid of Roger and takes him on, going into every match with him believing he can win. I don't care for the guy - but if I admire Nadal + Safin (and anyone else on the day) for not being afraid of Roger, then I have to admire Kiefer for the same quality. Roger clearly didn't under-estimate Kiefer, saying before the match that he was only too well aware of how much he had improved even over the last couple of months, and knew it was going to be a toughie. But I admire even more Roger's ability, even when playing below par, to somehow raise his game and grind out a victory ... that's what great champions do.

PHEW....that's all I have to say right now (I think).

I was never concerned - I knew Kiefer would mess it up,even if Roger would not have uped his game,at the right times - Kiefer is relayable, as is Roger :)
