Murray to beat Clement at 1.80 (Bet of the day)

Most of the other odds are too low tomorrow;
Parlay: Moya (1.25) x Gonzo (1.33) x Ferrer (1.28) x Davydenko (1.44) = Just over 3.00

OK, I will listen to you :)

but not going to bet anymore on Murray then the bet I mentioned already (either he or Clement to win 3-2 @ 5.00)

Will go with your parlay but will put Jarkko instead of Moya...so Jarkko X Gonzo X Ferrer X Davydenko @3.2

Peer X Vaidisova XMirnyi @ 2.33

No, but seriously, some people have been saying "Nieminen". Personally I think that Phau is probably one of the best dogs out there on tomorrow's schedule. Nieminen, it should be remembered, is really not in such great form. He's another very volatile player. Phau has every chance of coming out on top in this one, and at prices of 3 or above, he's got to be a bargain.

Not going to be around much this weekend so if those 3 non tennis bets win, I'd end up going that tennis play for tomorrow morning so I'm assuming those 3 non-tennis bets win tonight.

I'll asses it tomorrow and make another parlay accordingly incorporating soccer, afl, nrl.

Clement x petrova $2.21 5units

I know i am biased but being british and following Murray closely with all the coverage of him over here, please someone tell me how Clement beats him???

I mean mentally he still has alot to prove, but he will get far to many chances on Clement's serve to not take any oppurtunites, like i said yesterday Clement served 44% 1st serve in 1st round if he does that he hasn't got a hope. Have you seen Murray's return of serve?? People might feel i am being to patriotic, but trust me if he plays Kiefer in the next round which i think there is a good chance off, my money will be with Kiefer 100%.

But please someone give me there slant on this match because i just can't see how Clement win's, he has no big shots Andy will be happy to rally with his backhand slice and dominate any short balls.

I can see possibly a small lapse in one of the sets but something like

6-2 6-3 4-6 6-4 sounds about right to be in Murray's favour, it totally suprises me how many people are going with Clement.

You really are quite funny ;).

Clement served only 44% in? Firstly it was more like 46% (no big deal), but what about Murray? He HIMSELF only served in 47%! Add to that, that of the 1st serves that DID go in, Clement won 82% of them while Murray won 72%... that's a 10% difference (and that IS a big deal!). Clement also beat a far more challenging opponent in Ferrero, and Murray struggled against Pavel like a bitch. On top of that Clement was better on his second serve and when receiving, and once again, he was facing a widely greater challenge in the Spaniard. Consider this before touting Murray out your arse.

Skipped it, had people over for dinner & couldn't research much less watch the games - I do have a huge stake on CU to beat CSU by the spread Saturday - much stronger, faster, more experienced team at home.
Congrats on your night, pumped college football is here.

Look you stupid muppet i am talking about Murray's returning game, which is far superior to Clements, while clements serve is poor, you will see what i mean if you watch it, but you will be too busy advising people on how to be a patranisnig t*** like yourself, Murray had 18 break point's against Pavel who served 1st serves in the mid 60's, nearly a break point on average every pavel service game, so instead of coming back with "him himself only served 47%" Read what i am saying!!! His return of serve will be the key!!! That's why Clement's serve % is more relevent than Murray's because Murray is has better groundies than Clement, come back when the match is over and i will tell you where you went wrong and all the other bollocks you post on this forum

Hello everyone, this is my first post, so please don't be harsh on me :p

I think Hantuchova is bound to give Venus a hell of a fight, and if it goes to the decisive it's anyone's match. I'm no expert but I think Hantuchova is underestimated.

Yoel and co.

You might be right, but they have met 7 times and Hantuchova has managed to win a set only once...

That being said, she sure did make Venus work for her money in Wimby this year

From us open site

ANDREW MURRAY (GBR) vs. ARNAUD CLEMENT (FRA)

Does the Scottish teen with the upset stomach have enough willpower to pull off another five-set victory after being forced to qualify and then spend three hours and 18 minutes pushing past Andre Pavel?

It's not likely.

Murray -- who threw up on court against Pavel -- is a "gutsy" player and likes a good row, but his conditioning is suspect, and Clement knows that. Murray wins most of his matches by employing a patient, cagey attack. Clement is no dope, either, even though he has been known to implode in key matches.

Murray will have to play much more forcefully than he would like. Former Aussie Open finalist Clement was forced to qualify, too, but has a better understanding as to how to physically navigate the Grand Slams. Moreover, he's fast and when he's on his game, can mix and match more adeptly than the young Scotsman. While Murray will put on a brave face and stay strong for three sets, he'll fade in the last two, as Clement will take away a brilliant five-set victory.

Arnaud Clement (FRA) vs. Andy Murray (GBR)

We hope, for Andy Murray's sake, he doesn't experiment with any more of those stomach-churning glucoside sodium drinks again.

Coming off a taxing five-set win over Andrei Pavel in which he came back from a two sets to one deficit, Murray finally catches a break. Fellow qualifier Arnaud Clement upset No. 20 Juan Carlos Ferrero, so Murray's road to a possible confrontation with Roger Federer in the fourth round becomes that much easier. Both players will be suiting up for their fifth of the match of the tournament, but so goes the life of a Grand Slam qualifier.

With 48 hours to recover, Murray regroups and finds a way past the guile of Clement.

Look you "muppet" poo poo head (I can act your age too, ya know ;)), like I said, check the return game statistics. For starters, you obviously didn't watch the Clement match. His own return game against Ferrero was OBVIOUSLY superior to Murray's return game against Pavel, a fact made obvious by the difference in time it took for either to emerge the victors. Ferrero also got in around 60% of his first serves, and Clement's return point percentage was higher than Murray's. Basically, to put it in words you'll understand, Clement beat a widely superior player to Pavel in three straight sets, with a widely superior receiving game. If you're going to do your research, at least research BOTH sides of the proposition, before spewing clearly erroneous claims out of your ass.
