Mandy not in love with Andy anymore... she's OBSESSED!

Did anyone catch her MTV Diary?! I have never been so annoyed with her in my life. She seemed a tad bit like fame is getting to her head. Just a little. I still like her.

But that's not what bothered. She talked about Andy, a lot. In fact TOO MUCH! I realize she's in love, but still! I mean, she was exactly the same way about Wilmer Valderrama and her first Diary! So, be cautious Mandy. She talked about him more than she talked about her movie! And she rubbed it in all his fans' faces that she is with him! Gggggggrrrr... I had never before been so annoyed with her... and I don't get annoyed about player's girlfriends rubbish

As a matter of fact, I don't want him to date her anymore. DATE KEIRA KNIGHTLEY, ANDY!!

Yeah, that was bizarre.

Andy is on Conan tonight as well. It's a good thing I had to stay up! This is why I need TiVo!

Buy me TiVo!

I saw that diary too... and you're right. I like to think that atleast he's dating her, and not someone 33 *cough*minniedriver*cough* like a certain tennis player I'm fond of is/...

Hurley
07-17-2003, 05:48 AM
Now we all know I love me some Robby. But really. This just shows how far down the totem pole Minnie has slid. She can't even get a popular young guy to have dirty sex with like Cameron or Demi...she has to settle for an obscure tennis player!

Having said that...great choice. Cameron too. Demi...not so much. And I like Minnie. But it's gross. I have a complex about the older woman/younger guy combination. Maybe it's a gay thing.

Anyway. Mandy and Andy...it's cute, whatever, I approve.

Illinitennisfan11
07-17-2003, 06:15 AM
I agree... WHY ROBBY!!!???? WHY!?@?!?!?!?!??! why must you do this to us... wow, just realized... mANDY and ANDY.

Mandy: "Bring him to me, MOMMY! I hated tennis, but I saw him in Rolling Stone and he's getting richer, I can live like a princess and pretend I LOVE tennis. Mom and I want me to get married to you
before you change your mind.
Look at how I can bat my eyelids and grin like a monkey at Andy.
I'm CANDY! HOW can he resist me?!
U don't have to take away my credit card anymore, DADDY!"

This is the wrong girl for him. Stop the
insanity! :o

Mandy/Andy are my favorite celebrity couple because it's obvious they really like each other.

And Mandy DOES like tennis. She has a music career as well as an acting career and STILL manages to fit in time to get a few lessons from Andy. She's trying to learn the game, so she obviously cares. She's not trying to get some money/fame or whatever by being with Andy because she's got it herself. She's probably the most respected of the pop princesses (Britney, Christina, Jessica, etc.)

She's young; she's in love. Of course, she talks about Andy all the time. That's what young women in love DO. She's gaga over him and it is very sweet. He probably never dreamed he would have a girl as pretty and as cool as Mandy, so he's probably just as gaga, but since he's a guy, he's got to keep it dialed down. :)

Has anyone else noticed how much Mandy talks about being so in love with Andy but Andy himself hasn't said as much about her (at least publicly)?

I can understand her being so moony over him but from appearances only, it seems that it's Mandy who does most of the giving and Andy does the taking (look at their body language: she's always leaning in to him while he's just kind of standing there, accepting her affections.) Althought they make a cute couple, they don't seem to be on equal footing.

Most guys like a chase and a challenge. Mandy doesn't seem to offer much of either for Andy. I can't see those two getting married.

uh...... he's a guy ;)

I think their relationship is fine. we've never seen more than a little snippet of it. But in magazine interviews that discuss their relationship, it certainly sounds like a very healthy happy relationship.

We can judge Andy's tennis because we can see all of it, but I don't think it's right to judge their relationship :(

Of course if they did marry and she decided to hyphenate her last name it would be Moore-Roddick....maybe my brand of humor is hopelessly immature but I find that really, really funny.

Prophetic
11-22-2003, 05:44 PM
could be worse...if she had my last name it would be Beaton-Roddick....thank goodness I have no wishes to marry Andy.

Meybe she'll do what all the star types do and just keep her maiden name. It's not often that an actress or singer will change her name with marriage. They could go the non-traditional route and have him change his name but that would deprive us of something to tease him about. Besides, Andy Moore just doesn't sound right.

Yeah, but it's smaller than MSN or AIM separately as well, it's only 2,748KB (plus a patch if more than one person uses it), and that's smaller than a standard MP3 song, so it's tiny.

lol..shit is becoming a lot like fuck

it's not quite as all purpose but it has more flexibility than it used to. It's not exclusive to describing something bad anymore, lmao.

I don't have language problems...trust me. I was that kid that could teach the teacher a thing or two about proper grammar. It just doesn't come naturally to me to use it all the time. Not how I grew up. There's nothing wrong with that as long as a person is capable of proper grammar when the situation calls for it.

like I said...the "proper" way to say something is not always the first thing that comes to mind. If a person stops to make sure that everything is proper before they speak or, in this case, type then it's a form of self censorship and I'm not into that. I don't always use proper grammar just like you don't always use proper punctuation (nor do I) It's just the way I am.

I grew up in a not so wonderful area and without a lot of money so there was always a little more focus on surviving than there was on proper grammar. Aside from that element of it there was also a kind of attitude in my neighbourhood. If someone talked like that all the time then they kinda got labeled as "uppity" or "snobby." It's not fair or accurate but it's how it was. No one liked the notion of other people thinking that they were better or acting like they were so a person had to be careful of how they spoke. Silly little things like that could get you beat down pretty quick. It's simply easier and better for a persons health to go with the crowd. As I am still not in a great environment I still abide by this rule. It's not as bad as it used to be but I'm careful and it's gotten me this far. I watch my step in every regard. I'm 23 and I'm still alive and that's more than I can say for two of my friends.

Don't be sorry, lol. It's not fun and of course I wish I had more but this upbringing made me who I am and I wouldn't change that for the world. It's areas like mine that drive people to greatness...there are two kinds of people in this world. The ones that live to survive and the ones that fight for a better life. The worse the situation is, the harder the fighters fight. Some of the greatest achievments are made possible by the drive of one person to make a better life. It's all part of the universal balance. I wish sometimes that no one had to live this way too but there are tons of people out there who have it far worse than me so I try not to complain too much. I'm thankful for my blessings. Maybe things are the way they are for a reason. I dunno...

Honestly the thing that keeps me going is the people around me. I used to be totally miserable. I have other issues aside from just bad location that factored in there but yeah. I've wanted to die so many times that I can't even count them anymore but I guess I made a choice. I can either wallow in self pity and be miserable or I can channel what I've been through and go through into making a better life. Songwriting helps a lot. It helps me release all that shit and it's my sanity at times. I take all the rage and sadness and frustration and just pour it out in ink. I have questioned God...a lot...but I have my blessings too and maybe there was a reason for all this.

As far as the pimps and ho's and guns and all that are concerned...people write what they know. There are posers out there who write that shit just to look "bad" but for a lot of them it's just making fun of a situation that wasn't so funny growing up, lol...it's a very tongue in cheek thing. I guess unless you grow up around that you don't see the humor but for someone who's been around it...it's funny shit. Most legitimate rappers don't write about that stuff and mean it and they don't write that shit in every song. Also calling a woman a ho is just a really, really, really bad habit that fellas pick up somewhere along the line. It's a little annoying but don't take it to heart. For a lot of rappers that talk about guns it's not to glorify the violence at all...they're just doing what all songwriters do. Telling their own story. I talk about suicide a lot in my songs...not to glorify it but because it's part of my own personal story. I write what it's like to want that and what people take from it is up to them but all I can do as an artist is write what inspires me

I'm too damn lazy to check that over for typos so if they're there...please ignore, lmao

That depends, lol...sometimes the only way to deal with something that you've seen that you never should have been exposed to is to make fun of it. It's not meant to offend but to be a form of therapy. The easiest way to start to talk about something that's traumatic like growing up that way is to tell jokes about it. Eventually you get to a point where you can just write about it seriously and talk about how it hurts but it comes in steps. Eminem's first album was full of jokes like that but The Eminem Show saw him break down that self protective humor barrier and really talk about the things that hurt him. It's a process. To you it's not a joke..to me it's a break from the pain to stop and try to make a joke of it and laugh at it.

Jag

I can understand why people rap to express their
pain.
Eminem got arrested
for violence, so he should
improve as a person, not just rap about battling
his demons.
I guess it depends on the person.
A country singer could disrespect people even though
his songs are romantic. Rappers may use vulgarity,
but they harm no one.

a part of improving and battling those demons is to express them in music if you're a musician..Em has said repeatedly that his arrest was a wake up call and that he realized that he was going down a road he didn't wanna go down and he DID improve...and so he was able to write about it. All we can do is write what we feel at any given time

if i have this right you are saying that rappers shouldnt just rap about their lives and fears and battling demons but improve as a person?
Rapping, singing, whatever. What good is it if lyrics are about
getting through struggles, but then the artist comes home and breaks the law? ex: Wynonna, Glenn Campbell, etc.
It's not just musicians, but since most of them
have young family members who look up to them, they should also be aware of their actions, especially if they're in the public eye. Otherwise, it shouldn't be an issue.
There I go again, getting too serious.

So since we are talking about nothing at all in here.... and so you will know that I must be living in a paralell unniverse.. On the LA public radio station that I get over the internet, they are having a reading from cover to cover of "Killer Angels" It went for 6 hours yesterday and starts up again today. It's great.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO different from what you all are talking about..... which might as well be Swahili for all I understand. :)

I hate the news.. but as my mom says I'm the epitome of the cyincal college student. I prefer going to Yahoo or Google news and reading the bare facts from the wire reports. I don't like the editorializing they do on the news. I'd have to watch like every station to get a balanced view of anything and even then it'd still be bad.

I agree 95%...the other 5% b/c you could be like my dad and yes, read papers from all over the world, but of only one particular persuasion (this doesn't piss me off at all, no.)

Since this is the Mandy thread, did anyone see the piece they did on her on Dateline? I thought it was great. They talked about how committed she and Andy are to keeping their private lives PRIVATE and stuff... after that interview, I don't know how any Andy fan couldn't love Mandy and the fact that they're together :)

Let me see: They are committed to keeping their private lives private, but he is thinking about a reality show and she talks about him on her web site?

That's a little contradictory.

Deboogle!.
11-29-2003, 07:34 PM
My feeling is that the reality show ain't gonna happen, not in the way all the articles described anyway. Andy sounded none too in favor of it when he was personally asked about it in Houston. Plus, the taping of the show would be when Andy's at his busiest tennis-wise and with the 492760947 movies Mandy is doing, how much could they be together anyway? LOL

And Mandy doesn't talk about Andy on her website. Without going into all the gory details, her messageboard is run by some total freaks and it's extremely questionable whether Mandy is involved in it at all.

I mean they'll talk about the basics like "I'm spending Thanksgiving with Andy" and "we like to just relax together" but they're not like Nick and Jessica or Ben and JLo or Britney and Justin did - they don't crave attention, and they won't talk about their actual relationship, which is what I think Mandy means (she always says "I'm not gonna tell people our pet names or the most romantic thing he's done for me"). Even when he went to her movie premiere (which is a very boyfriendly thing to do) he looked way uncomfortable and except for when they got out of the car, he hung behind to let her have the spotlight. Sure, I'm biased (though I like Nick and Jessica and Ben and JLo too lol), but they strike me as among the healthier celeb couples I've seen recently.
