Tursunov's 1st serve percentage has dropped significantly down to 46% while the percentage of points won on Seppi's second serve has dropped way down to 44% (Seppi was only winning 14% of his 2nd serve points earlier in the match).

Tursunov must be on a bit of wild streak...hopefully he will tighten up his game soon so he can break and finish this off in 2 sets

If Tursunov loses this match I predict he will be a 1st round washout at the US Open and go into a rankings dive through the end of the year...maybe forever.

There are critical moments in a guys career when they either capitalize and move high up the rankings or they begin to listen to the voices in their head that keep telling them they aren't good enough. Tursunov failed recently to win important matches that would have secured his confidence and helped him move upward (the Challenger 1st round loss after a great Wimbledon, the Roddick oss, and the Rudzeski loss)...all important losses.

If he loses this he will have no confidence. He is at an important tipping point in his career... a loss here could send him downward for a long time.

And as the loser of the "Who Will Choke the Least" reality game, Dmitry Tursunov wins a career altering blow to his confidence. He can proceed directly to the challenger circuit. And, if he gets even more consistent with his choking, he may proceed directly to the Futures level and perhaps directly out of professional tennis. Remember Dmitry, practice makes perfect. Now get out on the court as soon as possible and choke another one away! Bravo!

Justin's been injured since Wimbledon and he's only played 3 matches. I fear that brief delay may have been caused by a visit from the trainer.

Nope. Just an average looking, happily married woman (look at my avatar).

You saw Justin play one match back in 2003, at a Challenger I believe it was. I heard about that incident, and his behavior in that match was horrific. But things have changed a lot since then, I've seen it myself. I hated him when I first met him, he was just rude. But he apologized to me for what he did and I have seen a lot from him in the last two years. He's not perfect, and he can be very intense when he's on court, but for the most part, I think he's a good guy. Perhaps he just decided to grow up a little bit. I just wanted you to know there was another side to the story.
