Hey, i have to do an assignment on feminism in sport:
explain why sociologists refer to feminisms instead of the singular feminism
Now i have found alot of material (but hardly any applyed to sport). I am discussing the following types of feminism:
liberal
radical
marxist
Socialist
Now i am wondering if anyone could help me provide some sporting examples, or apply them to sport (sociology is a subject i struggle with, and dont enjoy one bit).

:wavey: I'm not going to be helpful, just bumping it to the top so people will hopefully drop by (and be more useful than myself). I took a class at uni for something like this once. "Environment and Governance". I failed. I didn't care, didn't get it at all and I tend to loathe feminists at times :lol:. Stay motivated and good luck with the assignment!

:rolleyes: Anyhow, Joe, I can't think of anything right now-unless you want to count the girls/women in sports campaigns that appear on TV from time to time.
Try researching about the history of women in Olympic/ or not just Olympic marathon running.
