if thats true that sucks coz jonas has never been a great singles player, joachim i have no respect for anything except his serve and magnus is not great!

but i would like to know where you got that from i haven't seen any articles on it!

why there can be coaches like brad available and you end with someone like that! come on mario lets find someone who can actually improve the aspects of the game you struggle with ie your head

I am just glad he has a coach now. If it is the right choice that's something we have to find out.

I heard that on radio. It's not true that Magnus isn't good player,he was FIRST some years ago,and Jonas was also i think in Top 10,and Joachim was in Top 15.So i think that choice isn't so bad.im glad to see e didnt pick Brad Gilbert.I dislike him.

his choice is bad! even sky finally talked some sense and picke dup on it he has NEVER coached an attacking player and that is what mario is!

he was coaching magnus when he was good he coached when he was bad, joachim has a serve and no game and can't even play on clay at all, and none of the players he has worked with had mental problems, the place mario falters is his brain as he showed today, i don't think this is a good move for him there are much better coached around not to mention the best coach in the world! sorry i just don't think it's a good move he'd have been better with ivica and nana than going for a defensive coach i'm really disappointed in that move

and magnus wasn't first he was 2nd! and he never won a grandslam an dthats what mario should be aiming for!

it's good to hear that he's got a new coach! finally a news about that! let's hope this one will improve something in mario's game or will bring him more confidence and mental suport...

Éowyn

unfortunately he's not known for his mental ability so i doubt it

doesnt sound like a good choice from what JJ has said.. but just to be optimistic, maybe he will do some good? *crosses fingers*

i just feel he could do better

j. johansson had a good year in 2004, he improved a lot so, maybe isn't too bad that mario chose former joachim's coach. afterall he (mario) knows better than us what needs he's got. i'm sure he does his best in order to achieve something in his career. the only thing i can say is: good luck to him and hope that he made the best choice

Éowyn
08-12-2005, 08:43 PM
but joachim is not an attacking player mario is mario needs to learn to attack more not less so i don't see how a defensive coach is going tohelp at all

maybe it's a temporary solution. do u think that if there was as u said, mario and his team didn't figure out this fact until now?! i strongly doubt! and moreover if this isnt' a temporary solution maybe this coach was the best choice from all the alternatives he had...
try to apply for a place in his team, you'd be a sort of miroslava (federer's gf)

hehe i dunno i hope he's gonna try and work with some other people too i dunno! we'll have to wait and see i guess, i just don't think it's the best move he could of made! i hope he keeps looking for others to hel him out too

within the match vs greg, his new coach on show sometimes, he nodded to mario, smile to him, and seemed so lost in 3rd set, but i havent anything special from him, just such a few days, nothing would change

my biggest wish is that he would not make my dear injuried

and i just captured one of his coach :

the problem is that coaches aren't meant to look lost! they're meant to look like they can see where he's going wrong and fix it!

oh, that's who mario was with at the practice. well then. hi coach!

If you guys are worried about him turning into a loser half-arsed, semi talented player** such as Jonas, Magnus, or PimPim (basically anyone in my signature), never fear. He doesn't stick around. Jarkko, ditched. PimPim...well... can't be out of work now, can we Freddie

He'll be out of the picture soon enough. *~kat... his hair is bothering me, a la pimpim.
No mention to my past#4 namesake, as I highly doubt I was a tennis fan way back in the day.
**If he is not already one of those. Just going by what some of the dumbass population at GM say. I don't think I've seen Ancic play. I have taken dodgy photos of him but haven't seen the "last guy to beat Federer on Grass" in action.

yeah...it's an interesting decision...but i guess it's better than having no one for the moment...

i dunno i'd rather he stuck with ivica than went to a defensive coach but only time will tell

vero
08-22-2005, 10:00 AM
But Ivica is now Sanja's coach, isn't he ?! And, to me, he can't coach both Mario and Sanja in the same time  Mario needs someone at full-time ...

Éowyn
08-22-2005, 07:20 PM
yeah he is, they could share i'm saying they should i'm just saying that i would have prefered it to this, i still think he should have gone with brad myself :p
