Hey all of you...where are you off to for the summer? Okay I know all you guys in Argentina are having your winter...but as far as I can see your winter is as good as our summer in England....

I am off to Strasbourg to see my Dad's family...and then Murcia (Spain)...to La Manga....some serious tennis and more serious sunbathing....maybe a bit of windsurfing.....I just started windsurfing last summer in the Canaries...but I am addicted to it..

You're coming very close to me Sophia. Do you stay in Strasbourg for long?

No vacations for me. Work in my house, like last year, and the previous one, and certainly the next ones! :) That's the price to pay when you buy an old house that you renovate all by yourself...

Okay Choupi....well my parents have been in Strasbourg for a week...and I just decided to go tonight....I have a few problems here so its the best place for me.....I am flying out tomorrow morning and I intend to be there for at least a week....I have to see my Grandfather...he makes me laugh a lot so I will have a good time. I then come home here and get ready for Spain...and when I get back from Spain I have a new job to start....so its all go here....and thats good....btw....where are you living? could we meet up????

None for me either  I have my vacations in April/May for the European clay court season, and again in October for the tournaments in Madrid and Basel. Therefore, unlike most people, this high-Summer period is my busiest work time of the year - most of my colleagues are off with their children for the school holidays and I'm working 24/7 to cover for them - and of course, to earn lots of overtime and "flexi time" for when I do want time off! Luckily I am not particularly a "Summer" person - I don't like sun-bathing and I don't enjoy the heat so much - so I'm more than happy spendning this time of year in an air-conditioned office planning my next tennis trip :)

I live about 100kms from Strasbourg, western side. Near a town called Sarreguemines. That would be nice to meet up, yes.

Well I know what you do is great for those people with the kids...but I guess you do get to see a lot of tennis and for that I am very jealous!!! (you know it)...but I need the sun...and I am lucky....I may have the blue Italian eyes but I certainly inherited the Spanish skin...and I feel a lot better when the sun shines....so I can't wait to go to Spain...I need the sun badly....

Well My Mom's Dad is from Valencia so yeah I have been there a lot...but Murcia this year...we don't always go there...its more of a place where my parents go to play golf.....but my sister has LTA training....so its easier this year.....so I guess I will tag along....you know a free holiday...well a flight that cost me about 100 euros....its nothing....I just have to cope with living with my parents again for 2 weeks.....but hey...I can cope....tennis....a sunlounger, suncream, water and an iPod....my life is sorted!!!!

Right now, for summer, I couldn't take classes, so I'm using the time to rest, work, and visit with family and friends. I've already been to North Carolina-although that was work-related. And my family is planning a trip to the state fair later in August before the end of summer. It's been good so far...
And I'm on vacation and go back to work on Monday. Not exactly looking forward to it, but it's work still.

I don't take vacations in winter, so I'll have to wait for my summer vacations! Although, I'll probably go to a spa in November, though I still have to wait if I have to work at that time...

I went to New York City a couple of weeks ago. It was fun, though getting around is quite difficult. The traffic there is a downright pain in the ass. Central Park is just enormous; I've been to NYC plenty of times before, but I guess I never realized how big Central Park really is. All in all, going to New York is always nice experience, but I would never choose to live there. Oh, and yeah, it was also a fun ride back home, as I was about 5 feet away from crashing into a live deer on the freeway. :)

My word!! I hit one before, and I almost hit one on the interstate on my way to North Carolina this past June.
