.. according to bookies.. Russia is a very close second, just a hair behind. That's probably a reflection of bookies thinking that Russia will have a tougher time in Croatia than Argentina will be in Slovakia.. We'll see.

Prediction: Russia plays both remaining ties on fast carpet and wins them both.

can we hope for a final Argentina Vs Russia played in Argentina or it'll be in Moscow (if they both go to final of course but that's what will happen i think) ?

If Argentina plays at home in Buenos Aires on clay, it's all but a done deal.

Croatia will smoke Slovakia on carpet/indoor.

Croatia have the edge over Russia in my opinion.........they have three big servers in Ancic, Ljubicic and Karlovic so the doubles match should be a foregone conclusion......which means that they need to score two more points from somewhere which if Davy and Safin play........given the surface of the courts in Croatia.....gives them a 57-43% advantage in every match!

So if Croatia wins they could face Argentina at home again.........which will be similar to the Russia match...slight advantage to Croatia

Hence in my opinion Croatia should be new favorites.....do not know why they are so highly underated!

Hahahahaha, what a joking thread!!!http://danielahantuchova.sk/forum/images/smiles/haha.gif

Argentina plays in September against Slovakia in Bratislava, so be prepared for no clay surface and big support from slovak audience!!! It will be not soo easy for Argentina - remember we beat e.g. Spain 4-1

Argentina has 5 Top 15 players. Slovakia has no Top 20 players. If you think that Argentina is going to be freaked out by fast surface, just keep in mind that it is your players who are pitiful on fast surfaces, while Argentina features former Wimbledon finlaist and just defeated Australia on grass of all surfaces. If you don't think that Argentina is OVERWHELMING favourite in the tie, you are somewhat confused.

Same, in lesser extent though, goes for Croatia-Russia tie. If some people of Croatian nationality think that they can consider themselves favourites against the team featuring the best indoors player of this decade and featuring two Top 8 players, they are somewhat confused. They just had trouble handling Pavel of all people and the doubles against totally unfancied Pavel-Trifu combo went hair close.
