Fernando Gonzalez won Roland Garros as a junior in singles and doubles (w/Jose Antonio de Armas) (1998)
And he also won the US Open in doubles with Nicolas Massu (1997)
What do you guys think about this ???
I think is awesome I just hope that he can someday repeat his title in Roland Garros (or any slam) but now as a professional :D

Feña has beaten Juanqui several times until RG2003 QF when Juanqui went on to win it... but they know each other well and respect each other -- they were so cute at the net I remember... love them both!
I just want Feña to take Amersfoort! ;)

Nice pic, thanks :) and yes I knew that and like you all so hope that he'll win RG or any other GS now as a professional one day – that would be so fantastic.
And I remember RG 2003 and his QF match against Ferrero very well as I’m following Fernando since then :inlove: and I especially liked the moment at the net with Ferrero. I just loved Fernando for the way he played and being able to react like this at the net after losing such a tight 5 setter. :worship:
For those of you who don’t remember here are some pictures of it:

What a cute picture from when they were kids!!!
And that match in 2003 between the two of them was hard to follow - I wanted them both of win. Of course Fena because he's my second favorite, but I also really like JC and felt that it was his time to win RG.
I'll never forget the look on Fena's face though after he lost - he was so devastated. I felt so horrid for him - it was such a tough loss.

Oh I remember that touching moment at the net SO well -- it made me cry to see two great players and friends hugging each other, one in victory and the other in defeat.
Somebody asked Juanqui what Fena said to him at the net:
"Ferrero agradeció después del partido las palabras de ánimo de González, su rival de hoy. "Me dijo que fue un buen partido y que deseaba que yo ganara el torneo, que soy un magnífico jugador y persona y yo creo que él también lo es", enfatizó."
Juanqui: "He told me that it was a good match and that he wanted me to win the tournament because I am a great player and person and I think he is too."
