I didn't know where to post this so i thought this thread is the best place for it: there's an audio interview of Seb in English about the Davis Cup tie of France against Russia on the official Davis Cup site (http://www.daviscup.com ).
That's what he'll hopefully be doing next (if he's selected but it's like obvious that he'll be as the French number 2 player...): first the usual one week stage of preparation with the French team and then the Quarter Finals of the DC in Moscow... ;)

Seb will not do the Davis Cup. He said that he was tired and that he needs a break.. So no Seb !! That's sad but we have to accept his choice !

I agree Lizanne! I thought the same thing when I saw the little interview they did with him on the BBC before the QF (although he didn't really answer the questions). :p

LOL players do that very often, not answering the questions.. I also saw the interview on BBC before the QF.. He says much more then he used to, ur right Esther.. He used to only say the same things.. He says them now, but he says more... I think its because of Brad Stine..

I think its because of Brad Stine..
It has nothing to do with your discussion but it made me think... you know what Brad said about Seb after his match against Tursunov? First he said joking that during the 2nd set Seb served "like his grandma would" and then he said that he served as well as he usually does for the rest of the match which "was not to bad for an elf". He teases him a lot it seems... ;) (i think he called him like that because of his height...) So Seb must learn English fast with him if he wants to get Brad's jokes about him!!!

I think we need to keep this thread running since "What's next" is a common question from all Seb fans... ok so what's next?

I keep checking the websites for the coming tournaments (Italy, Vietnam and Thailand) but I can't find Seb's name on the plaer list... I wonder where's Seb? And France is not in Davis Cup right?

For October, there will be Open de Molle and AIG. Molle has launched the list (first draft I think), which contains names of many famous French players, but I couldn't find Seb's name; I think he will keep playing the AIG (Japan) stuff, but the website has not updated yet...

C'MON SEB! START SOMETHING!

There was a little article about Seb's preparation for 2006 yesterday in L'Équipe:
Grosjean en stage aux Etats-Unis
http://www.lequipe.fr/Tennis/20051219_113000Dev.html

I can't give you an exact translation, but the article says he's training together with the American Davis Cup team (Roddick, Ginepri and 15 young players invited by the American Tennis Federation) at the Chris Evert Academy in Boca Raton and is very happy about it, he prefers that to practicing alone with his coach and always the same sparring-partner. He likes the ambiance, says they can practice harder by still having fun. He feels fit and is very well integrated in the group.

i dont think the article was suggeesting anything controversial....its normal that he's training with the american team since he lives there!! It's nothing new....

Why he loves America so much, we will never understand...lol
