Well he at least advances past the first round. I think he should win his second round match though it will be a little difficult with Karlovic because he is so tall which makes his serve pretty good though i think Lopez should advance easily. Unfortunately he will have to play Johansson and I think he will lose but if he wins i think he can beat moya (who seems to be slumping) and advace to the final 8 but then i think he would lose to andy.

So my worst case scenario for him would be losing to Johansson

My best case scenario for him would be losing to Roddick.

the problem for Feli is that he is not doing enough on Ivo's second serve when he has to

YES! I was sooooo relieved when I saw on Teletext this morning that he had won - and Carlos too :)

Serena Williams and James Blake partnered to claim the 2003 Hopman Cup championship. Tomorrow, the pair will take the court again — as opponents — joining forces with two Miami-area kids in a doubles match as part of Nike tennis clinic.

The three-time Nasdaq-100 Open champion, Blake and Spain's Feliciano Lopez will conduct a tennis clinic for about 200 kids from the City of Miami Parks and Recreation program from 1:30- 4 p.m. at the Ashe-Buchholz Tennis Center on 765 NW 36th Street in Miami.

As part of the tennis clinic, NikeGO will replenish the "Shoe Closet", established last year, at the Ashe-Buchholz Tennis Center. Every child who attends the clinic receives a free pair of Nike shoes from the NikeGO Shoe Closet.

During March 4th- April 3rd, NikeGO will donate a percentage of Niketown sales, up to $35,000 of Nike product, to the Ashe-Buchholz Tennis Center and the Miami “Summer Fun for Kids” program to support youth physical activity programs. After the clinic, Williams will conducted a question and answer session with the kids.

Does anyone else get The Tennis Channel? They have a series called "No Strings" that features different players. There's a new on on Feli - 30 minute segment that follows him around Barcelona for a day in December 2004, between Davis Cup and Christmas. He's a very laid back guy. Hard to understand why he keeps losing matches to people he should beat! Maybe he needs a new coach.

i know it might seem like Miami was over ages ago...but Feli is actually still there competing!! He and Rafa are 3rd on Court 1 starting at noon local time...they play number 1 seeds Knowles and Nestor :scared: For Rafa's sake i hope they lose/win easily so that he's not too tired...

there's a few things I can say about this match:

1. This guy has NO patience WHAT-SO-EVER during his last matches - he'd make 2 errors in a row and say "screw it" to the game. Clay = patience. Or atleast some patience. :rolleyes:
2. His mind is into something else, I wouldnt know what. He never looked like: "hey, I am fighting to win this tennis match" - neither in IW, nor today, or Miami obviously.
3. He HATES clay. Well, he hated it today that's for sure. :rolleyes:
4. He needs to do something with his backhand. He cant hit 3 good backhands in a row in. :help:

so, I just think it wont get better untill he figures himself out. I hate to see him with these frustrated expressions out there, he could take a break.
