Terrible site for a grand slam.

Many of the results didn't get posted... the live scores were messed up. The layout is completely clumpsy and ugly. Sad, isn't it? Hopefully they'll improve it some before the main tournament begins.

I noticed that the french, us, and aussie opens all use indentical layouts (with different colors), but wimbledon has weird stuff on their website that makes it look disorganized and slightly unprofessional. Probably will get better by main draw.

so true....

i hope things will improve but it's obvious that the site wasn't ready on day 1, and that should be the case. This is not a tennis tournament after the church tower, this is a grand slam event.

even now some results from skipped matches have not been posted on the site, incredible ....

It was only the first day, so hopefully things will get better now :)

Interesting point about the site today.

Jenny Hopkins was playing Qualies, she lost in the first round. According to the Official Wimbledon Website - the woman she lost to, Katerina Bohova (or something) was born 22 January 1958, and had attended Wimbledons in 1983, 1984, 1987 etc - and her career prize money todate was £122,000. =/_ £ or so. You would think they would get the facts straight. Jenny was actually playing her teenage daughter.

(ok - I know this is MENS tennis forum - but this thread does point out how bad the Wimbledon site is - and Jenny is a friend of mine... )

I think it's basically the same as the other slams. It's too bad they charge for interviews from the press conferences and stuff, but that's Wimbledon. Only thing I miss is the event statistics. :(

i dont have a problem with the site, though I agree with the lady above in that you have to pay for audio and video interviews and that a lot of the outside courts dont have in game statistics which is somewhat frustrating

no stats for a heap of matches = piss poor.
