Don't You People Have a Picture Thread?

Maybe I missed it? Well I didn't know where else to put this..

This is from Toronto 2002 against Lapentti - I have a funnier one, but it's too big and I'll have to get somebody to resize it before I can post it.

I also have some of him alone, that I'll scan someday.

A reminder, this was the match were Andy and Nico had a little spat afterwards. It was highly amusing :D

Yes, There is one. See the thing towards the bottom that says
"Showing threads 1 to 28 of 28, sorted by" Choose 'The beginning and you can clearly see "Pictures for the Roddickholics".

:D

Right - well I wasn't in the mood for a detailed search. I just thought I would post this somewhere.

So tada.

I'll post the rest in a couple weeks.

I never thought I would say this at such a goofy picture of Andy. But, I'm sorry, He looks sexy in that picture.

Thanks Becca. :D

One more- the better one ;)

You can see the digusted look on Andy's face better when it's big, b ut you get the idea.

Do not that he's also crossed over to Nico's side of the net.

At this point people had actually started to yell "let it go Andy", "just walk away", but no no...stubborn boy he is :D

Chloe le Bopper
02-08-2003, 10:42 AM
Oh, and thank JCsting for making that picture small enough for me to post :)

Thanks Becca! Actually he is goin over there to whip Nico's ass. :p

Chloe le Bopper

It looks like that was the plan, but I wouldnt' reccomend it.

Nico is more massive. I'd fear Nico far more than Andy ;)

hehe, but i'll be angry if i were him too...i mean, that idiot just accused you of faking your injury...that sucks so much...it's horrible.

hehe, but i'll be angry if i were him too...i mean, that idiot just accused you of faking your injury...that sucks so much...it's horrible.

That isn't exactly how the arguement started. Nico didn't flat out accuse him of faking the injury untill the press conference, I seem to recall.

His initial comment to Roddick at the net was that the ace which Roddick served up on match point should have been called out. It was after that that Andy started to fly off the handle, and at that point I believe that Nico brought up the other stuff. Although, to be honest, I couldn't hear everything at the very beginning since they weren't speaking loudly at first.

It's my opinion that they both acted like juvenile nitwits. But life goes on, and so did they ;)

Chloe le Bopper
02-09-2003, 06:21 AM
For what it's worth, despite what the cleaned up ESPN articles would have led you to believe, Andy was moving around just fine before he called the trainer.

I don't doubt that he had cramps, but I do take issue with any articles that talked about his so called limited movement. That was BS.

That was why Nico was annoyed I suppose. That said, I didnt' agree with Nico in the situation either.

rodsgal
02-09-2003, 11:03 AM
well, i guess i shouldn't be saying anything then since i didn't watch the match, let's just say that i believe andy wouldn't lie about something like that...coz he's never been known to, at least that's why i believe in, so dont mind me

Chloe le Bopper
02-10-2003, 01:53 AM
Well as I said, I didn't question his injury. When he called the trainer out I was curious why, because I hadn't been able to see any problems with him but I never thought "faker!". I'm also not exactly a tennis coach, so perhaps there was something going on that I'm just not trained to see.

Chloe le Bopper

Chill Hurley.

You piss and you moan, but before me you were nothing. Now there are only 2621 people in the world better than you. When you consider a global population that surpasses 6 billion it would be awfully petty to get upset over that achievement.

Wow, this forum has become so alive since Rebecca came. It was almost dead quiet before.

Imagine the irony in that? Perhaps nobody in this thread, but certain people have liked to paint me asthe number one Roddick hater (which is curious, seeing as I haven't actually said anything negative about HIM) :)

That said, I followed him quite closely untill mid 2001. I even knew some of his junior results better than Hurley, didn't I Hurley? :p (btw, that third tournament is Eddie Herr)

rodsgal, I agree with you. Life goes on, forget it, though it was really amusing.

I was very amusing :D I hope that something like that happens this year as well - not necessarily with those two players mind you ;)

Chrisie
02-11-2003, 10:34 AM
Becca, I don't think you are the No.1 hater of him. You said nice and fair things about him, too, I remembered. But admit it, you dislike him a lot.:D So I was a bit surprised to see you come to his forum.:p

I think you bring argument to this forum, and the thread looks really alive. While before we were too enjoying the peace to make any argument. Nevertheless, it's getting interesting here.

Well, maybe Schuttler the "Red elf" accuses "Mrs Agassi" of sabotaging his hex on his opponents in the AO final?
Or Hewitt fails to defend his Wimbledon title because he is locked up in a toilet (the offender apparently gets the idea from his "Sobent toilet paper ad")?
Or the two finalists of US Open are water-bombed by the audience because of the lack of performance(again)?

I dislike him a lot? How ever did you come to that conclusion? I dislike the hype with extreem passion. But him? I have no reason to dislike him.

I actually followed him closely up untill mid or late 2001. I knew his junior results better than Hurley, just ask him *looks proud* (that reminds me Hurley, in his span where he won those three major junior tournaments, he also played a role in winning the junior world team competition for the USA - is it the Connely Cup? The Sunshine Cup? *draws a blank*).

I even used to post in the Andy Roddick yahoo club. Yes, yes it's true. Until the club got huge and the posts became more and more shallow.

If you don't believe me, check it out. becca_becca_11 registered in March 2001 I believe. Though I started reading when there was only about 100 members.

Arguement? I posted pictures that I took in Toronto. It's not my fault that they happened to coincide with that incident.

It was hard to catch the look on Nico's face seeing as his back was to me. Nico isn't very animated though, so I doubt that we missed much. So I had Roddick's irate faces to laugh about ;)

Again? As in.. that's happened before?

Very amusing, aside from my confusion.

How about this for the US Open - a player from Latin America vs a player from Spain are to face off in the finals. Pat McEnroe and "the boys" have had about all of this they can take. "Don't these guys realize that this isn't clay?"

So in a mad rage, they plan to kidnap both the finalists right before the big event and make them watch tapes of all 33 matches of the Agassi-Sampras matches. "This is REAL tennis" they tell the guys.

The mens final is subsequently replaced by an exhibition match between Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi. Amazingly, nobody seemed to notice.

I know you used to like him. Long long long time ago, they posted a poll at GM about how many "Andy Roddick" threads you were going to start, I remembered. But during the period from that "Lapentti incident" to AO quarter-final 2003, I indeed felt you disliked him, from what you posted.

Maybe you just hate the media hype? Maybe you wanted to snap some childish opinions? I don't know. Forget that.

Don't get mad at me, when I say argument, I mean some kind of conversation, ideas or opinions or reasons, like in an essay, not really fight. English is not my first language anyway.

You took that picture? No wonder I've never seen it before.;)Thank you for sharing.:bounce:

rodsgal
02-13-2003, 09:52 PM
oh chrisie so chinese is your first language?? heh, i'm a singaporean, my mother tongue is chinese, but i can tell you i suck at chinese, heh. english is first language here, but i'm studying higher chinese too. almost failed last year though, it's sad coz i'm supposed to be a chinese and i speak chinese at home, heh

Chrisie
02-14-2003, 09:18 AM
Yes, rodsgal, Mandarin is my first language. You don't know??
But now I have to spend most of the time speaking English, unless talking to my parents.
Do you have to learn Chinese in Singapore?

I can see why one might think that, what with me posting "gee I hope he loses early in all the televised tournaments". But believe me or not, that is seriously just because I want to see people that I root for, and with him, Andre and Pete in the tournament still, that it's possible ;)

Regarding the Lapentti incident - my friend was a big fan before that happened. After it she turned on Roddick and now boos at him. I actually tried to pursuade her not to be so harsh on the poor lad, but she ignored me ;) I felt that they both played roles in "the incident" and they both cancelled each other out :)

Maybe you just hate the media hype? Maybe you wanted to snap some childish opinions? I don't know. Forget that.

Yeah, I don't like the hype. But then, I don't exactly sing the praises about many players. I try to be very spread out in my critism ;) Most of the time I'm just kidding anyhow :o

Don't get mad at me, when I say argument, I mean some kind of conversation, ideas or opinions or reasons, like in an essay, not really fight. English is not my first language anyway.

I'm not mad. I don't come into fan forums to pick fights. That's what GM is for :D
Seriously though, I understand what you meant now. Sorry about that!

You took that picture? No wonder I've never seen it before

I have some more that I'll scan over the next month. But those were the best ones because of what was going on in them, so I scanned them first.

rodsgal
02-14-2003, 11:41 PM
heh, yeah, i do learn chinese in singapore, in fact i learn higher chinese...it's much harder, but the advantage is that if i pass my o levels chinese next year i won't have to take chinese ever again in my future education, heh, my mum thinks its quite sad that i'm a chinese yet i'm not good at chinese and hates it, heh

Chrisie
02-15-2003, 05:30 AM
:D at Rebecca. Now I know you more.

Well, rodsgal, I know many people from non-English speaking background can only speak little of their own language. Most of them speak English all the time, and they don't think it's very important to learn their own language. Generally it's the parents who want their children to maintain the culture.;)

rodsgal
02-15-2003, 11:02 AM
haha, same here, lol, well at least i do know how to speak chinese...or else my mum would never be able to understand me...it's just the learning part that's horrible, heh, chinese is just too difficult, lol

Champion!!! ANDY RODDICK

I'm tired of seeing the former fickle fans posting stupid
remarks about how he gets so much attention.

Ever since the Australian Open, the only people the media
gush over are Hewitt and Agassi. If it weren't for Andy's
injury and the useless umpire that prolonged the classic match, Agassi would be not get the glory of
beating low-ranked guys.

Andy beat Andre twice, and those matches do matter. Andy is the real champion of the
Australian Open.

All you Ferrero and Hewitt lovers who come
here to bash him can stop watching tennis when Roddick and Federer dominate them with superior talent.

rodsgal

lmao what a cute pic!!! heh, erm, actually not a lot of pple here come in and bash Andy, that's why i like it here better than at the general, heh. and well, even though andy did beat andre, it wasn't even competitive matches...unfortunately he got thrashed quite badly every time he face andre. not that i like andre, but you gotta respect how good that guy is. oh well. good luck to andy for the memphis finals!!!

For one thing, I'm yet to see any indication that Roddick is going to start dominating Hewitt and Ferrero, but whatever floats your board.

For another, if that rant was inspired by my comments in this thread, then you have the IQ of a peanut, and are not worthy of my time.

heya, thanks for the picture. Is that Andy, by the way? Forgive my ignorance, please.:D :D :D

Well, rodsgal is right, we really enjoy peace here, so come and post anything you like.

Since we are only typing our opinions, I find it's a bit confusing because we don't know each other's emotion, and sometimes we don't really understand what the others mean. You may see the conversation between Rebecca and I before, we had a lot misunderstanding.

Rebecca is the serve-and-volley type, direct and 'aggresive'.:)
