Welcome in the Dining Wagon of our beloved train! With 126 passengers on our ride, it was about time we'd get a proper place to have our foods and drinks! :)
This is a place where we can have post-match celebrations over a glass of champagne. We can eat tons of Swiss chocolate here if Roger loses. We can have pre-match discussions over a good cup of coffee, share our birthday cakes, etc. Really it's all up to you!
I hope many people will drop by here! :)

I just realized, if this dining wagon gets a lot of people dropping by, maybe we'd need some people as crew. I wouldn't mind playing bartender when I am online, but I'm not online too often. Besides I'm already in charge of the tickets, so I am already occupied.
Are there any people who feel like becoming bartender, chef, head caterer, or whatever in the Dining Wagon? (It'd look cool in your sig... parttime bartender aboard the Federer Express!) :)

It doesn't matter what I want, it's about what you want. Hopefully this turns into a nice, long thread, where Federer fans can meet each other, rejoice in victory and mourn in defeat, and in the meantime have tons of meaningless chats, and we'd just be a nice, happy bunch.
It might help if there are some people having a symbolic function in this thread, staying with the whole train/diningwagon metaphor. I'm not sure how that would work out, though.

He got plenty of practice today! A bit too much practice I'd dare to say, but playing against an in-form Söderling is a great way to start your grass season. As long as you win, that is. :)

Yes, yes! This is a wonderful idea. I don't like wine or champagne, but I drink the heck our of Margaritas or Daquiris so please give me a couple of those with lots of alcohol. ;)
I need a double or triple shot in mine~~especially after that match this morning.

In the U.S., they have a cheese called "Swiss cheese" and that is actually Emmentaler and not Appenzeller or something else. If you go to SubWay or some fast food shop and they ask what kind of cheese and there is "Swiss cheese" as an option...

Playing in front of his home crowd might give him wings. Surely Kohlschreiber shouldn't be much of a problem for Federer. Though, we should follow Roger's example. Fear no one, respect everybody. Kohlschreiber is in the quarters for a reason!

you dont have to say "swiss" only "rösti with saussage" but normally there are different kind of Rösti and so you can choose from all of them... you can have with cheese or eggs or with salad or "zürcher geschnetzeltes" that's a kind of meat and then the saussage... so there is for everyone something...

What's your thesis on? Something concerning labaratory animals I read?
Well, my research field is mostly about the maternal-fetal medicine(cuz I'm an OBGYN). So I need pregnant animals for experiment. As you can figure easily, pregnant animals are very expensive and hard to get. For this reason, I'm waiting for them to arrive.

OBGYN, may I guess? Obstetrics and Gynaecology?
Any idea how long you'll have to wait fo the animals? It seems to me it's not that hard to get a rat pregnant, they're getting babies at a horrifying rate.

While we are waiting for Roger's match against Mayer to start, why not have a bit of a bit of chocolat? Hopefully Rogi can finish Florian Mayer as quickly as we can finish Florian chocolat! :)

Mmmm... that choc looks v tasty indeed [even if Mayer looks like a tall bird w a little beak... he reminds me of a bird of some sort]... ;)

Bingo!

Yeah, rats, mice, rabbits.. they are all very "reproductive" :o (you know what I mean?)

But a problem is I have to know the exact gestational age. It's so difficult that I have to order pregnant animals at a certain gestational age to some company outside of the lab. It takes time. And sometimes "fake" pregnant animals come in. That is, the animals appear to be pregnant and then there are no fetuses when I open their abdomen. In that case, I have to wait for another months. It's frustrating. :o

 Yeah, I am having a blast doing that! I don't know why, but suddenly a lot of Roddick fans have jumped onto the Nadal bandwagon and are now saying that Federer insn't the player he used to be. I'm not easily offended but will jump up to defend Rogi and Schalken.

Thanks for the snacks from Basel! They look great! What's in them?

Orangeat,Zitronat gehackt
Zimt
