I'm a happy man, I had a small dabble on Nadal - however my first opinion was Feds would come through with the goods but i thought to myself that we probably won't see $2.35 for Nadal on clay for a very long time so I had to take it while I had the chance

ok, well, one could say that the West Coast Eagles are the equivalent of the Miami Heat, or you could say that they're a cross between the Phili Eagles and the N.E Patriots. Does that clear it up a bit? :p

I havent looked into many of the other matches this round, it's been a very up and down season so far with loads of upsets and I find the only team which is close to a good thing every week is West Coast, everyone else has numerous doubts

The only issue with the Eagles this week is that they are playing at the MCG, a ground where they often struggle to win. It is the ground where they had their first and only loss this year. However the Tigers are missing Nathan Brown, a small forward who has kicked about one quarter of the teams score this season, so he will be sorely missed

I wouldnt say either Sydney or Eagles are sure things but if i was to choose a team which has the best chance of winning it would be eagles

Na, im writing them off. They are following the Warriors trend. Make the GF (of course the Panthers won it), followed by losing in the prelim final and then doing terribly. Its just the lost of experience combined with injuries. It makes a big difference.

Mate, in my books they are a write off. They will more than likely win a few games on the run in, but they have next to no chance of making the 8.

You will probably have to win 8 of your last 11 matches (7 if you are lucky) and with the draw you have coming home it will be nearly impossible to achieve that.

The Panthers still have to play the Storm, Cowboys, Raiders and Roosters away from home. They also have two games against the Bulldogs, the first being in round 19 and that is about the time when the likes of Mason, O'Meley and SBW will be back in action. And to top it off you will also have to play the Broncos and Manly as well.

If they can make the 8 with that draw and the injuries they have I will tip my hat to them.

The Panthers are more than capable of winning enough to make the eight, sure we are in a major slump right now, but we do have the experience up front to make an impact on the field. To be honest are real problem is in our backline. I've never been happy this season with the changes. IMO Lang should move both Rooney and Lewis to centres and keep them there, Its with the middle of our backline where we lose most games.

Its def gonna be interestin but we'll let it unfold in due cause, its late as and its goin 2 b an interesting debate for the rest of the season

Lol Penrith had a great chance of winning today, but they didnt take thier chances and caused silly turn overs. You cant say Parra were a sure thing today and not thinked twice about it.

Injuries and loss experience = off course thats a factor and no ones argueing. The season is just over half way thru though, Penrith still have the weapons to contest any football team. If anything its def our finishing off games, its always been our problem, in our Prem-ship season we had some incredibable escapes.

I dont think we can win it this year but i def think we have the chances 2 make the eight (it will b tough though)

The Panthers are missing those 1 or 2 good quality players with experience at the moment. That can lead to the team not being quite good enough. And Parra are in awesome form at the moment. I was like   when i saw the odds for that game! I was expecting Parra to be at abour $1.30-$1.40 and the Panthers to be at around $2.70-$3

Yep, your centre pairing of Pomeroy and Galea are very ordinary, but you are never going to win games when your pack isn't going forward. I just can't see your forwards getting on top of anyone without the likes of Puletua, Galavou and now Pritchard (hope his knee injury isn't too bad).

Another reason I see that will make it extremely tough to make the 8 is that you have teams like the Dogs and Dragons ahead of you that are still not in the 8.

IMO opinion only Canberra will drop out of the current 8 meaning there will only be one spot available for the rest of the teams to fight for and with the Panthers already being 6 points behind the Dragons and 3 points behind the Dogs it is tough to see them moving past either of those two teams.

Look forward to debating different issues with you in the future Finns, it's always fun to talk turkey with fellow league fans :)
