I was there. :)
Ancic played quite well. The first set was very close, but once Herm-Zahlava had lost it he was so upset that Ancic could easily go up 3-0 in the 2nd. He choked when serving for the match at 5-3 but broke again at 5-4 to win it.
Hanescu vs. Elseneer - a good match, at least in the first 2 sets. Both played serve-and-volley. In the 3rd set Elseneer was broken early and then practically gave up.
Semifinal should be a close match.
The Spanish match - they have very similar games, both left-handed with two-handed backhand. Verdasco served for the 2nd set, but overall Nadel-Parera was definitely the better player.
 that he is only 16 - I had no idea. He's definitely a great hope. If he only didn't grunt that loud ...
Stoliarov vs. Kubot - a rather bad match. Stoliarov was disappointing, serve was so bad, and also many errors. Kubot has a good serve, but that's al. Both choked when leading in the 3rd set. In the end Stoliarov was just the lucky one.
K/L were lucky to win this. In the first set, Kitinov was horrible, missing every volley.
Only one break in each of the following sets - and both times it wasn't necessary. In the 3rd Stauder lost serve at 2-2 after leading 40-0.

Thanks for the report, GoDom! Yes, Rafael has game. He even got to the semifinals of Junior Wimbledon last year. He can play on any surface and him being a lefty definitely helps.;)

Rafael :D He didn't concentrate on juniors also...
thanks for the report GoDom :)

I expected a tougher match for Mario. He probably played better today.
Not surprised about the other score.

I had a feeling that after demolishing both Hanescu and Larsson that Rafael wouldn't be too much of a problem (altho congrats to him for getting this far)
