Heartbreaker

oh man, what a heartbreaker!!! gosh, i'm pretty sure that Andy would have a great chance of winning if he's not injured. not that Rainer didn't play well, he ran down all the balls, but I felt that if Andy was playing great tennis like he was against El Aynaoui, then he would have no problem beating Rainer

Me, too. So heartbreaking!!

But I agree, I think Andy really fought hard to stay in the match. He should be praised for putting so much effort, especially after injury. He is a real fighter. I'm so proud of it.

Now someone's suspecting Andy's faking injury again.:fiery:

yeah, i mean, Andy could have just retired from the match, he was already feeling it before the match and during the second set it was so horrible, he had to cover himself with the towel to hide his pain! oh man, i'll hate it if those pple say he fakes injury again...i don't think he ever does that....he's just too unlucky with injuries

Yes, Mrs Guga, right wrist. It was bandaged like mummy till nearly half his arm.

rodsgal, the tourment trainer explained his injury at the press, so this time was true. I don't understand how can anyone suspect that?????????

yeah i know, i really hope no one start accusing of faking his injury....i heard bill norris saying something like there's an inflammation of the tendon or something like that, i'm not very good with those terms...

Well, Rainer were asked by German reporters that if he knew Andy was injuried. He said, 'I know Andy does this sometimes, injury time out, I have seen it a few times.'

Mrs Guga, you were lucky you didn't see Andy suffering.

Yeah, I heard about Rainer being a baby. It's like dude, you won the match man. You have no reason to whine!

yeah, i mean, he's accusing Andy of lying, he sucks so much....lol, i sound like a teenybopper, heh. but it's true, i mean, dude, if he have been lying the trainer wouldn't have helped him in his lying, what the hell was he talking about?? i cant stand that guy, and I'm sure glad that agassi thrashed him. idiot...

I mean, Rainer won the match, why did he still do that? It's not like Lapentti. Agree, I'm glad his final with Agassi is the most one-sided final since 1926. He is in history, too.
He even said something like, 'I don't care he's injuried or not, I just want to play my game.' How mean was that.
Andy didn't even make excuses for his loss, and he still praise Rainer's performance.

yeah precisely, Andy was injured he can't help it, he didn't even say anything about it and said rainer deserved to win even though i dont think he does. and lapentti too, don't remind me of that guy!! gr....oh well

When Andy was us against Lapentti...i think he was one set down, and then he got an injury and called for an injury time-out. after that, andy turned the match around and won Lapentti, then that idiot accused Andy of faking injury...oh well

Yes, and they had a few words when they all came to the net after the match, and nearly had a fight(physically) before Lapentti was grabbed away. Andy went on to the final before losing to Cansas(? I'm bad at spelling). That was Tennis Masters Series in Canada.
