You can´t say he has reached finals wasting a lot of energy. His legs are fresh, even in this concern I give Nadal the edge against JCF tomorrow, so anything but an easy win for Nadal would be a surprise to me.

I picked JCF because I'm nuts and I have more faith in him than I should.

Honestly though, I think he needs a miracle. You never know what can happen though.

Anyway, Rafa will probably win. But lordy, he is playing a lot, I hope he has plenty left when RG rolls around.

It's not best of 3 though. I still think Nadal'll win, but if Ferrero can take it to 5, he certainly will have an advantage.

I really want JCF to win, but I think Nadal will win. For JCF to win, he has to bring his very best tennis.

Interesting decision for me to make on who I WANT to win. Rafa has become a new favourite of mine lately while JC has been a favourite for a few years now. I think I would prefer this time to see JC have win... it's been a while! I'm ecstatic that he's back making finals again :woohoo:

For the poll's sake, I THINK Rafa will win.

I really hope J-C can win this - it would be a great way to complete his comeback - but somehow I see Nadal winning it - and quite easily too.

I think that Nadal is playing the best on clay right now and if he plays like he has been the past two months, he will win it in straight sets.

I fan ferrero, but nadal is great player fighter, if both play the end of court, nadal win easy.

I think Nadal is peaking too early in terms of Roland Garros. Ferrero is steadily improving, which is all that matters for right now.

Ferrero , Moyá, Corretja.... are (was) version 1.0 of modern great all surface spaniards .

Nadal is version 2.0 , more fight, more head , more power, more talent.

Nadal easy.

The safer bet would be on Nadal ofcourse, but I'm pulling for Ferrero to pull the upset. I just hope he puts forth a better effort than the last time these two played.

This is almost as good as the MC final for me. I don't care who wins. I just hope that both are still healthy when it's over ;)

I don't have a clue who will win either, since I haven't seen matches. Form says Nadal, but who knows. I didn't vote this time.

If two years ago you told me that in 2005, Ferrero over Nadal on clay would be considered a rather big upset, I wouldn't have believed you :haha:

Well of course. Two years ago, Ferrero was peaking, and Nadal was still rather new to the ATP tour. Now, it would seem, Ferrero is struggling, and Nadal is peaking.

Well... relatively. I don't think that Nadal is peaking in the sense that JCF was. I said back in 2003 that this was as good as JCF would ever be. Of course, I never saw the chicken pox and fall out of the top 100 (did that actually happen?) coming, so I can't pretend that I"m really *that* good ;) I get the feeling that Nadal can be a LOT better than he is now ;)

But yes... if you had told me two years ago that Nadal would come on this quickly and Ferrero would die a horrible death for an entire year, I wouldn't believe it ;)

The question is who will win, not who do you want to win.

The breakdown of logic here is simple.

Nadal demolished everyone in this tournament thus far.

Ferrero had problems against a mentally unstable Davydenko in his previous match yesterday en route to the finals.

The solution is clear.

Clear eyes.

Nadal in straights. My crystal ball here is saying check fridge for bean kerd, but I'll take that as Nadal triumphant easily.

Vamos Ferrero!

Scotso
04-23-2005, 10:14 PM
I like them both, so it doesn't really matter to me who wins. Honestly I think that I still prefer Juan Carlos, but I kind of want Rafael to win because I'd like him to just completely dominate the clay season.

With all that said, I'm fairly sure that Nadal will win.

hmm...tough question
For JC these 2 weeks have been superb and so we'll see what he has against nadal. :) Even though jcf did get his butt kicked last time in valencia.
But i voted for JC, cos i like him better ;)

Alan
04-23-2005, 11:58 PM
same here. as much as i would like JC to win, i fear that nadal could prove to be too powerful.

JCF. After the beating in Valencia, Nadal is not going to take him seriously, therefore, JCF has a chance :D.

Chloe le Bopper
04-24-2005, 05:59 AM
Nadal isn't dumb enough to not take JCF seirously :p

lalaland
04-24-2005, 06:13 AM
Then he would be smart enough to know that I don't really mean it :D.

Chloe le Bopper
04-24-2005, 06:21 AM
Probably not. You'll have to forgive me. This *is* troll land, and a lot of people would say that seriously.

lalaland
04-24-2005, 06:33 AM
Then I'm glad I wasn't one of them.

I was merely finding excuse to convince myself that JCF has a chance. :D

04-24-2005, 07:49 AM
I picked JCF cos he looks like he's back to his old game. And because I'm cheering for him wildly (as I always did) and Rafa already has 3 titles this year! Juan Carlos needs one to boost his confidence ahead of the RG! Vamos Juanqui :bounce: !

Nacho
04-24-2005, 10:36 AM
off topic: Barça is the football team, not the city!!!

Back on topic: I think Rafa's gonna win, but Juanqui's gonna give him one hell of a fight! At least I hope so! :D
