He's fresh as a daisy, as opposed to Nadal and they're playing 3/5. -wokkel- 04-16-2005, 05:00 PM Guillermo!! Come Guille, smash that kiddo.. :p Vamos Rafa! ;) roisin 04-16-2005, 05:01 PM go rafy! :yeah: :woohoo: User ID 4783 04-16-2005, 05:02 PM Coria, although I want Nadal to win jazz_girl 04-16-2005, 05:03 PM I think Guillermo will do it...Rafa had a lot of doubts serving for set, although he did it well at the end... federer express 04-16-2005, 05:05 PM Thrash him Nadal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hey hey....thats such an aggressive statement. careful you dont upset the delicate members of this forum ;) gravity 04-16-2005, 05:06 PM Coria wins this for me. I wouldn't mind if Rafa won either though. :yeah: mangoes 04-16-2005, 05:09 PM I like both of them............. But, unfortunately, I think exhaustion could catch up with Nadal tomorrow if Coria brings his best game. This match could swing in either direction. Bilbo 04-16-2005, 05:14 PM Coria Chloe le Bopper 04-16-2005, 05:14 PM Gotta go with Coria  federer express 04-16-2005, 05:15 PM two counter-hitters. tough call.... Micca 04-16-2005, 05:17 PM CORIA! :woohoo: :worship: Deivid23 04-16-2005, 05:18 PM I´m less confident after his tough match today, but still have high hopes. Nadal for me. Exodus 04-16-2005, 05:21 PM Nadal I guess Neely 04-16-2005, 05:21 PM my answer: Coria federer express 04-16-2005, 05:22 PM coria for me. he mixes his game up better. he has an incredible drop shot and nadal's is pretty poor. otherwise, very evenly matched. Clara Bow 04-16-2005, 05:23 PM Meh.. this is tough. My heart is divided because I want Coria to win and get confidence back in his form. I also want Nadal to get his first MS title and be able to win after a tough match against Richard. If both players are able to bring their A game I don't know who will win. But since Coria is fresher - I may have to go with him. Kiara 04-16-2005, 05:23 PM Rafa has paid his dues, he deserves to win this... User id 7816 04-16-2005, 05:28 PM Rafa and I'm not in a doubt ;) TennisLurker 04-16-2005, 05:29 PM Guillermo Agassi Fan 04-16-2005, 05:31 PM Vamos Guille!!!! knight_ley 04-16-2005, 05:31 PM rafa. mitalidas 04-16-2005, 05:34 PM hope: Nadal think: coria tennis4eva 04-16-2005, 05:35 PM I love both these guys  I don't wanna see either of them loose. But if I have to pick...I'll say Coria....he has the experience and skill to break down Rafa's game if he's mentally tough tomorrow. Good Luck to both! :worship: |-Safin_Coria-| 04-16-2005, 05:38 PM Vamos Coria!!!! Clara Bow 04-16-2005, 05:41 PM It looks like a number of people may not be able to watch this match tommorow because ESPN doesn't carry it. I will be Tivoing it tomorrow from TTC and if it turns out to be a good match, I will be happy to burn the match to a DVD if people would like. Because that takes time, I will only burn 5 DVDs. But if anyone wants to PM tomorrow after the match to let me know if they would like me to send them a DVD I'll be happy to do so. It's no hassle since i do this for friends quite a bit (As I type , I'm burning a episode of Lost for friends we are seeing tonight.) I'll just be able to do it for 5 people though as I stated earlier. Sorry- just love to share TV goodness. mickymouse 04-16-2005, 05:57 PM Coria is unpredictable; all it takes is for the linesmen or referee to do something to piss him off and he'll get so pissed off he'll lose his concentration. That said, I do feel that he has the upper hand in terms of variety and freshness but this would be one match I wouldn't place my money on. tennischick 04-16-2005, 05:59 PM hey hey....thats such an aggressive statement. careful you dont upset the delicate members of this forum ;) touche :worship: Carolinita 04-16-2005, 06:19 PM   ˇˇˇRAFA!!!  Nymeria 04-16-2005, 07:35 PM I hope Guille will win :) MissMoJo 04-16-2005, 07:40 PM Guille  Raul-Lopez 04-16-2005, 07:51 PM hope: Nadal think: Nadal NATAS81 04-16-2005, 07:51 PM Nadal 26-4 2004 on Clay Coria 24-2 2004 on Clay Nadal in 3. foul_dwimmerlaik 04-16-2005, 07:53 PM Coria, I hope. alexito 04-16-2005, 08:49 PM nadalllllllllllllllll second final consecutive master series is the great fighter -ernie- 04-16-2005, 08:50 PM I think Rafa has this one :) misyou25 04-16-2005, 08:51 PM i cant believe i'm saying this...vamos rafa! Golfnduck 04-16-2005, 08:51 PM RAFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! bad gambler 04-16-2005, 09:24 PM i would break my arm & leg for a nadal win, anyone but coria MalmöKrampan 04-16-2005, 09:44 PM Rafael Nadal-Parera ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Marko 04-16-2005, 10:17 PM GOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOGOOGOGOGOGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NADAL i don´t like coria :p willie 04-16-2005, 10:22 PM GUILLERMO CORIA tennyfan 04-16-2005, 10:22 PM It should be a tough match after a very long week. The match could go either way! As long as it's a good match, it makes no difference to me who wins. rue 04-16-2005, 10:38 PM It is going to be tough match but I just have to put my money on Nadal to win his first Masters Series. I think that he has learned from the time he played Federer and he has got a great chance. It will also depend on his fitness, but he should be okay. Angle Queen 04-16-2005, 11:17 PM Heads: Nadal Tails: Coria And the coin toss goes to.... Coria Bilbo 04-16-2005, 11:28 PM I've the feeling most in here vote with their heart not their head  rocketrajic 04-16-2005, 11:34 PM Coria in 3 sets Jorge 04-16-2005, 11:44 PM I trust the Kid, (Nadal, of course :p) I think he is ready to win a Master Series. He almost did it at Miami... now is his time. Good Luck, Rafa! :yeah: Sidneygod 04-16-2005, 11:47 PM Coria will win, no doubt! NYCtennisfan 04-17-2005, 12:44 AM Since it is best 3 out of 5, I want to see how Nadal handles playing a long match going into the 4th or 5th set. I don't think it will be an easy 3 setter either way unless Coria takes the first two. Nadal has played a lot of tennis and is coming off a 2 hr 45 min grinder against Richard G. Should be a fun match. I wish I could see it:( PaulieM 04-17-2005, 12:50 AM GO CORIA!!!! :rocker2: Rogiman 04-17-2005, 12:53 AM I hope Coria wins, at least he's got the touch... federer express 04-17-2005, 01:03 AM it was 50 for each player til i went for coria! i put him in front :woohoo: Devotee 04-17-2005, 01:19 AM Rafael Nadal-Parera ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is his last name sometimes called 'Nadal-Parera'? Scotso 04-17-2005, 01:26 AM I think it's 50-50, maybe Coria the slight favorite... but I'm pulling for Nadal. Fergie 04-17-2005, 01:29 AM Vamos Rafa, you can do it!!! :bigclap: Scotso 04-17-2005, 01:32 AM Why is his last name sometimes called 'Nadal-Parera'? because that is his full last name. Devotee 04-17-2005, 01:43 AM because that is his full last name. But is 'Parera' his mother's family name? Jorge 04-17-2005, 01:45 AM Why is his last name sometimes called 'Nadal-Parera'? because the name of his parents are: Sebastián Nadal and Ana María Parera The - hyphen shouldn't be typed because it is not a compound last name. If the last name of his father would be let's say... Nadal-Pérez and the last name of his mother Parera then Rafael's complete name would be: Rafael Nadal-Pérez Parera. so the correct way is Rafael Nadal Parera (without the - hyphen ) Anyway we can simply call him: Rafa :p Billabong 04-17-2005, 01:45 AM I predict Coria to win, but I'm sure it will be more than 3 sets:yeah:! Fedex 04-17-2005, 02:40 AM Nadal in 3 Art&Soul 04-17-2005, 02:49 AM Vamos Rafa, kick his ass, Nadal in 2 :D Chloe le Bopper 04-17-2005, 02:50 AM Vamos Rafa, kiss his ass, Nadal in 2 :D Wow, so Nadal is going to beat Coria so badly that Coria will refuse to play the third? ;) Seriously, I'm sticking with Coria. I think that he's just too solid. He may say that he thinks Rafa is the best in the world on clay, but I don't think he really means it ;) Allure 04-17-2005, 03:01 AM I'm going for Nadal. He's uber talented and I think in 3/4 years can dominate the ATP. rue 04-17-2005, 04:46 AM I really want for Nadal to win tomorrow, but also want to see Coria gain his confidence again after what happened last year. I still picked Nadal over Coria because his is my favorite of the two. Levo. 04-17-2005, 04:49 AM Let's go, Guillermo!!! Booshie 04-17-2005, 04:51 AM I voted for Coria. I'm hoping his experience will help carry him through this one. :yeah: I'm sure it'll be a great match! I'd prefer Coria over Nadal, but it's hard to go against Rafa, so I'll be happy either way. :) chocc0 04-17-2005, 05:08 AM RAFA u CAN DO IT!!! *SKYE* 04-17-2005, 05:40 AM hmmm let me think LOL! Rafael Nadal!!!!!!! NNNNNNAAAAAAAADDDDDDDAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!! NATAS81 04-17-2005, 05:41 AM Nadal is the franchise. Chloe le Bopper 04-17-2005, 06:16 AM Coria has not lost before the finals in any clay tournament since Roland Garros 2003. 3 losses between Hamburg 2003 and now (on clay, again). People may deny him the title of "best claycourter", but he's certainly the most consistent. It would be an absolute pity if he didn't win at least one RG. I hope this is his year. WyveN 04-17-2005, 06:44 AM I think Coria will win although Nadal at his best has the potential to just outpower him. Action Jackson 04-17-2005, 07:07 AM Coria will win, though I don't want this to happen. Carlita 04-17-2005, 07:09 AM  please please my "little man" and I don't mean little as in size (Coria) but in age!  ˇVAMOS RAFAEL! Auscon 04-17-2005, 07:21 AM should be a brilliant match either way My vote is with Nadal.....he'll do the job and in doing so, will take some serious ownership of the 'No 1 RG contender' tag JeNn 04-17-2005, 11:28 AM Coria is like a brick wall when he gets in his groove. If he doesn't win RG one day it's going to be the biggest injustice since Corretja didnt win it. He is workmanlike and delivers results. There is no questioning his clay court credentials since 2003. But because he is "only" workmanlike he can always be vulnerable to a shot maker on a hot streak. Rafa is more brilliant, but less consistent. It's going to be a battle of wills and I think Rafa will come out on top. Billy Moonshine 04-17-2005, 11:39 AM Nadal. Breakthrough tour win. it´s been building up to this, no? Davisd cup heroics, TMS title, we all know what´s next....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, seriously, i think he has ther momemtum, the energy and he´s playing great. Roger-No.1 04-17-2005, 12:23 PM who knows! it would be great for both. Jorge 04-17-2005, 04:12 PM and the winner is... Nadal :yeah: Both, in the poll and at the court  | |
