i dont think thomas will be there for long though...hes gonna lose to the druggy (excuse my bluntness)

04-16-2005, 10:32 PM
Well all I hope is that he'll play his great tennis, no matter what the outcome is. As long as he is satisfied with his game, that's all that matters for me! :)
Good luck Thomas!

*See Austrian thread for entire Koubek document*

04-17-2005, 02:41 AM
Good Luck Thomas :)

04-17-2005, 11:03 AM
I don't like Koubek. Go Thomas!

04-17-2005, 11:13 AM
*runs and hides :tape:* I am SUCH the renegade Swedish fan!
Nah it would be a nice win for Thomas. Even if Koubek is finally back from injury+suspension, he's a good claycourter and it'll be a good match either way (i hope!) :yeah:

04-17-2005, 12:40 PM
Didn't they play in 2004? I remember Koubek beating both my favorite players which is why I decided to find him annoying :p

I don't like Koubek. Go Thomas!

i second that ;)

04-17-2005, 12:43 PM
Oh no they didn't. Thomas did win their one meeting on clay though, three years ago.

04-17-2005, 08:39 PM
Thomas's match is scheduled first on the Center Court tomorrow. Starts 10.30am.

Another info. Thomas will play doubles with Agustin Calleri. They'll play X. Malisse/P. Starace.

Good luck Toker! :p

04-17-2005, 09:31 PM
Hi everyone :wavey:

Just a short note: I saw Thomas today and he was practicing with Willy Cañas, they had a lot of fun and Thomas seemed to be very relaxed ;) Gisella was there as well.
I just figured out that he will play the first match tomorrow, so I guess I have to go to sleep now ;)

Lycka till, Thomas!!!!

04-17-2005, 09:39 PM

Talk to you all soon longer again :)

Thanks for the update Birte! And great news! The choice of Willy as training partner is really good...keep on having fun and take heaps of lovely pics! :p :wavey:

04-18-2005, 09:07 AM
Have a great time Birte!

Him playing doubles with Calleri  now that's something I would like to see.

04-18-2005, 09:44 AM
Well I must admit that Thomas has great tastes...Willy as training partner, Agustin as doubles partner. Viva Argentina! :D It could have been worse! When with my Gaston? ;)

04-18-2005, 09:55 AM
 I can't help but think of ToJo vs Calleri in Melbourne. Calleri was on the verge of kicking his ass... he had some awesome double faults. Hopefully it was just a phase :yeah: Go Boys!!!

04-18-2005, 10:00 AM
ToJo WHIPPED him!!! 6-2, 6-1~~~
Beautiful work ToJo! Hope you didn't completely demoralise him :tape:

04-18-2005, 10:34 AM
Oh didn't even know he's played already...must've been over pretty quickly. Well Done ToJo!!:yeah:

04-18-2005, 11:22 AM

ooh, are you going to tojo's match? then you get to see Xavier play! he's cool and fun to watch.

04-18-2005, 07:47 PM
Hi from Barcelona again :wavey:

You all must really think the only thing I do here is to sit at an internet cafe ;)
Well, it was a great day today!!! Thomas won so easily against Koubek, but unfortunately I wasnĦt there for the whole match as I couldnĦt find the stupid bus. But what I saw, he played fantastic tennis and I am already so much looking forward to tomorrow ;)
I will defintely there for both his matches and I am very happy that he isn't playing on center court, because the tickets here are quite expensive and you sit quite high up. So itĦs much better, also for the photos ;) , that he plays on on court 1!

Kom igen Toker!

04-18-2005, 08:43 PM
Hehehe! Thanks for the updates Birte! :D God bless internet cafes!!! :worship: So you saw a bit of his match today? Well, it has been rather expeditive, given the score. I hope tomorrow, you get to see him win again. Twice! :p And I'm longing for the heaps of great pics... :D

Keep on having fun! :wavey:

04-19-2005, 08:42 PM
Okay, hereĦs the report you are all waiting for ;)
I must say that I am very impressed about how Thomas has improved his game on clay :) Okay, maybe it was not the best match ever today, but he had the confidence even to win longer duells and itĦs fun to watch him play on clay. I think he must be very happy about this result.

His match ended quite late (like 18.45) and I was wondering if he will play doubles. But then I saw he will give autograph lesson and I asked him about this. He said that the double has moved to somewhere tomorrow eve!!! He was so nice and laughing a lot, he seemed to be very relaxed.
And now when I just saw the order of play, he was absolutely right ;)

Thomas ´r b´st!!!!

So I will divide my day tomorrow, first sightseeing and tennis in the afternoon!!!

Have to go back on thursday eve, so I canĦt watch more of his single matches :(

04-19-2005, 08:49 PM
thanks for the thomas report birte! glad to see you're having a good time in barcelona!!!

04-19-2005, 09:01 PM
Thanks for the report Birte. You had so much fun, I'm happy for you. I suppose that you haven't missed the opportunity, while talking to Thomas, to tell him that you had been missioned by all of us here to cheer for him! :D
Keep on the good job! And have fun! :p

04-19-2005, 11:27 PM
Good to know you're having fun Birte :)
You must bring good luck since Thomas seems to be playing really well :yeah:

04-20-2005, 12:02 AM
ToJO is playing really good :rolls: now spank Malisse again :yeah:

04-20-2005, 07:16 AM
Whoa! Splitting the time between tennis AND sight-seeing!?
Honestly...when I go to Europe, I know all I'm gonna see are grass courts and tennis players!!!

04-20-2005, 06:36 PM
Thomas and Augustin won  He improved his 2005 doubles record to 1-6 :yeah:

04-20-2005, 09:31 PM
Okay, hi again, itĦs the last eve for me, cos I have to go back tomorrow
I donĦt want to leave this city, the tennis and everything :(

I watched the doubles today (okay, I missed the 2nd set, cos I also wanted to watch Gaston ;) ) and it was a pleasure to watch Agustin and Toker. They had a lot of fun, and played good tennis. It was not easy to stay at the match because it was so cold, but I was very happy I stayed.
Maybe Toker gets a real claycourt player after everything I have seen from him this week ???
In any case, he seems very relaxed and happy!!!

04-20-2005, 11:05 PM
Awww that's so nice to hear Birte! Thanks for all your reports! Must be annoying having to leave the tennis and go back home :)

He isn't serving as good as in his previous two matches. Only 53% 1st serves, it was around 80% against Malisse. Up a break in the second though :)

04-22-2005, 05:55 AM

I was also very sad that I had to leave him "alone", but what should I do? Anyway, it was a great time, but I am still sad that he lost yesterday  He was so very near!
