MOYA 7 5 6
NIEMI 5 7 2

A windly Day in Barcelona

I saw the match on Tv and I can say that Carlos is not on 100%. He played very irregular today, at first set Jarkko started winning by 2-5 and had a Set Point, then Carlos started to play better and win 5 games in a row for take the set 7-5.

At second set Carlos was losing 1-3 and take the re-break, but then he had too many Break Chances but he lost all of them. At 5-6 for Jarkko, and when everyone was thinking in a second set TB, Jarkko broke and take 2nd Set.

At Third set Carlos started so nervous and impressive, but after 1-2 he won again 5 games in a row and take the match.

Carlos said after match: This victory was very good for my, with this I take more confidence in my game. I need 3 oor 4 matches winning in a row for return to my best game.

After match, all public shout Carlos' name (very exciting moment...). Godó is a very special tournament for Carlos and the public helps him always.

I think that this victory is very important for the wake up of Carlos' game.

i haven't seen the match, but ..... I am also convinced , looking to the statistics of the match, moya is not at his best
But maybe the public can help him to find his best form. Tennis is between the ears moya!!!!

Well I wrote that as it was 1-0 for Carlos in the first set. I left the house when it was back at serve at 3-3 and then I just came home to find out that he lost :sobbing: OMG, Carlos.... looks like Mirnyi is really on fire, has first beaten Costa and now Moya... damn, what's going on, Carlos

Please be ready soon for defending Rome and making good runs!

Pobre Carlitos
Well, he began one break up, but he rapidly lost his advantage...and when the score was 4-3 (30-40, breakpoint for Mirnyi)... ...well, Carlos let pass a lob because he thought it was going out, but the f**k ball fell down in the baseline...and Mirnyi served for first set.

In second set Mirnyi began a break up and Carlos just could break him when Mirnyi was serving 5-3 for match...But then... ...then Carlos lost his game and lost the match, but before he overcame four match points...I mean, he played very weakly the most important game of the match...Mirnyi didn't great thing...Carlos wasn't concentred today :smash:

aaaaaaw he wasn't that bad!!!! He only got the break in the first game because he made the umpire get out of his chair to look at the mark, and after some discussion he gave the point/game to carlos.

He did his best, although he is worrying me! He looked to be playing great in practice! Not like some others I saw......

He said he needed more matches, more rhythm....so I guess that's why he plays Estoril next week.... and the "wife" is there  hahahaha!
