league and suoer 12 rugby - there is money to be made for sure

NRL has been bad thus far too many upsets but it should settle down now and there should be consistent trends to work on

Bulls to cover -16.5 v Hull - $1.90 (5 units)

Hull players are probably still hungover after last weekend's efforts, Bulls are hitting form at the right time of the season and home, should blow them away

good luck

In Sunday's match, I like:

St Helens to put the cleaners through the pitiful Leigh,

Saints to cover -40.5 v Leigh - $1.90 (5 units)

Some of recent's Leigh's performances:

Lost 16-68 to Hudders
Lost 20-76 to Hull
Lost 0-74 to Leeds

So when you get the best team in the comp against them, a 100 points is on offer.

good luck

If its any consolation (which it shouldnt be considering my recent Super League record) I strongly agree with you on St Helens and will be joining you on it :D

Cheers bro....

I'm going to the Grand Final, I'm kind of hoping Leeds make it but as long as its a good final I don't mind. I'm not a huge fan of any team, I just really like the game.

Saints played well tonight, pretty comfortable in the end. I'm unsure what to do tomorrow, I'm tempted by Warrington +6 vs the Rhino's, Leeds are in shocking form and don't have much to play for now St Helens have wrapped up 1st place, I suppose Johns is gonna lift the spirits at Warrington as well.

I've toned down my stakes recently but this is gonna be seriously, seriously big. Even without Johns I'd expect Warrington to win.

nope you are not nuts (well not this time anyway), wire should do a job over hull. I watched last week when they beat Rhinos and sure Johns played well but to me he was nowhere near the form he was in the last 3 months of the NRL - his combination with Briers was promising though, I liked the way he kept drawing the defenders leaving one of the inside to run through the gaps. His kicking game was ok but htere is still room for improvement, he will get better after having an extra week to get over any jet lag as well. Coupled with the fact that Hull have been playing like shit after the Challenge Cup, got to roll with Wolves here.

Warrington to cover -1.5 v Hull -$1.90 (6 units)

Unfortunately for me I'm going through an aussie bookie hence they are not stupid to be having the Wolves as the dogs, so if you can get an ML greater than evens you are doing well.

By the way, the game of the season is going to be tomorrow IMO, Bulls v Saints - tipping this one to be the GF preview as well, though with Johns who knows how well Wire will play :scared:

adee-gee
09-16-2005, 06:19 PM
 most of the bookies in the UK have Warrington as underdogs, I've snapped up the 2.05 offered at William Hill.

Bulls v Saints should be great. St Helens are missing a lot of their star men though, Long out for season, Albert injured, Gilmour injured etc. Did you see what happened against Wigan last week? Terry Newton was a disgrace, he got a 10 game ban should've been longer in my opinion. Very tough game to call, I'm edging towards Bradford though.

I got wasted last night  :drink:

Never in doubt after leading 16-0 after about 20 mins. Johns didn't play that well but his arrival has boosted the whole team. I tell you, $7 on them to win the Grand Final might be value. Leeds looking shaky, St Helens with injuries, Bradford inconsistent.

As for the Bulls v Saints today, Bulls are as low as 1.40, gonna leave it as it clashes with the Spurs game.

bad gambler
09-17-2005, 11:31 AM
Bulls for me, way too much to play for, 3rd spot is up for grabs, whereas Saints got too many injuries and already have wrapped up top spot.

Saints missing Gilmour, Long, Albert, Bulls are at full strength. I reckon the Volcano is going to run riot out wide as well. Firt loss at home for Saints coming right up.

Bulls to cover -5.5 v Saints - $1.90 (5 units)

good luck

Week 1
4th at home to 5th
3rd at home to 6th

Week 2
Winner 3rd vs 6th at home to Winner 4th vs 5th
1st at home to 2nd (winner goes through to final)

Week 3
Loser of 1st vs 2nd vs Winner of top match in week 2 (winner goes through to final)

Kind of confusing, I think I got it right!

Sunday...

Broncos to cover -28.5 v Widnes - $1.90 (5 units)

Big line but there are reasons why I'm confident I will collect:

- Last home game for Broncos and they need a win to make the playoffs
- Widnes have given up long time ago, they have already been relegated and the club is in disarray at the moment with 5-7 players in the current squad not offered contracts next year, so you have to question, do they give a shit?
- Cassidy and Smith who are Vikings best players aren't playing today
- Mark McLinden is back for Broncos, he is their main playmaker.

Good luck, and I'll see you all at the cashier by night's end

Hull to cover +7.5 v Wolves - $1.90

That was surely one of the most unjust results I've ever seen :(

Warrington absolutely pummelled Hull and just couldn't get over the whitewash. Credit to Hull, they took their chances, but 40-6 is a ridiculous scoreline if you saw the match. Johns was great in places, and tried to do much at points. I wish he'd stay over here though we need more class acts like him. I suppose I can forgive him for this one after the recent wins he's given me.
