First time I saw him and liked his game a lot. He is good. Hopefully he can pull some nice results in the big events coming up. Is his favorite surface really clay, or can he play (well) in every one of them?

He did many challengers for a long time. He played the qualies of MC and now he is the quarters!!! In that sense we can say he is back!
But I agree that his match against Federer will be a real test for him.

It's better for Gasquet to lose to JesusFed. If he wins, french media will press on him so hard that he'll crash and burn at Paris :shrug:

Good point Fonso. Gasquet is a headcase, but I think he needs to be grounded now and learn from it, so he can put up a good showing at RG.

If the french want a french RG champion, then they have to quit using the media excuse for the young french players loosing. A true champion is not bothered by media pressure.

If Gasquet is ever to win RG, then it makes no difference if there is pressure on him or not.

It looks like the guys who can challenge Federer are starting to step it up.
