:o :tape: :haha:

of course, roddick fans are going to say it was just an exo, but that's because the have a double standard. when he wins exos (like in kooyong) he is applauded.

losing to fish on any surface is bad, but on clay...yikes lol

I think he meant individual matches. He won matches in kooyong.

Losing to Fish on clay is inexcusable, regardless of whether its an exhibition or not. But then again, this is Roddick we're talking about.

Tommy Robredo did it, and he won Barcelona. I guess that Roddick should try entering htis year ;)

The real score in the exhibition match was:

Fish defeated Roddick
6-4, 7-6

For anyone who cares, in the semifinals of this event:

Blake defeated Haas
3-6, 6-3, 6-4

Yeah, Roddick should retire. I can't believe he lost this match... I'm so... I can't even put it into words. Damn jerk.

Clearly the most painful lost of Andy's career. He'd trade in his USO for this one.

I'm afraid this will be a turning point in Andy's career.

LOL! Fish and Roddick are very good friends. It's an exhibition match. Hmmm. I wouldn't read ANYTHING into those results.

It would be nice if Mardy could manage to beat Andy in a real match instead of in exos all the time. Mardy owns Andy in exos.

btw, I love how it's always an obsessed anti-fan who starts the Roddick threads in GM. http://67.19.129.138/mtf/images/icons/icon10.gif

tangy, you took the words outta my mouth!

i daresay that andy might have used this match as: fun, and a tester for his wrist, seeing its his 1st match back from injury.

but you andy haters can go along thinking that andy just sucks. whatever your into

French Open just became interesting, Roddick was a lock in to romp through before this loss.

Who's hating? In GM we (mostly) just like to talk and comment about tennis and the state of the game.

Exhibitions normally have pregone conclusions in terms of the result. I was speaking to some media guys at Surbiton and they said they don't even bother covering them at all, regardless of the players because they are meaningless.

Fully agree. They mean little from the point of view of competitive play. I wouldn't even bother to watch.
