I think it would be Nadal in two sets. He has been on the circuit longer than Gael and also cos of his results. We are talking about a guy who almost beat Federer in straight sets last weekend.

oh my ... i just received French Tennis Magazine today and they wrote a lil article on Rafa/Gael, who will be the most successful in the future... funny to now find out they'll meet in their first round this week! i'm not too sure of what the results could be, but that should be a great match to see! :cool: ... for those who we'll have it on tv *sigh* :sobbing:

Nadal wins. I won't say it would be easy, but just don't quite see him losing to Monfils yet. I haven't seen them playing on clay, but seems that Nadal is suited to slower surfaces such as AO, Miami and obviously clay. So I'll give him the edge.

I always thought that Monfils, Nadal and some other BIG young players will be the ones to challenge Federer. I don't think talent alone is good enough to beat Federer consistantly, you can't really get any more talented then him! But if your extremley talented and BIG and POWERFUL, you will have an advantage, that's why Marat can do what no other player seems to be able to do. I think right now Nadal wins, but Monfils is going to be a very very LARGE, TALENTED, tennis player. Nadal's only 18 so he could grow alot too. This is an entirely differnt era then it was just 10 years ago! Players are becoming MASSIVE. But for now i'd favor Nadal!

I sincerely hope that Nadal doesn't grow "a lot" more. Ack.

Yeah ,Nadal's what 6'1 6'2 already? Something crazy could happend, he definatley could grow like 2 or three more inches lmao, I've been 5'7 since I was 17 and i'm 21 now....I stopped growing :sad: so you never know.
