MrOschie 04-09-2005, 05:23 PM nadal in 2 tennischick 04-09-2005, 05:47 PM Nadal in straights but i would be thrilled if Gael won. rocketrajic 04-09-2005, 05:49 PM Gael - Rafa 6-3 6-4 :D  gravity 04-09-2005, 05:56 PM Rafa wins this easily in 2 :bounce: roisin 04-09-2005, 05:56 PM rafy in 2! victory1 04-09-2005, 06:35 PM Come on Gael!!! NATAS81 04-09-2005, 06:38 PM You cannot rule out young talent. Unfortunately they both play this role. A better's nightmare. But, Nadal is the franchise ATM so he wins. Don't underestimate Monfils' ability however. He can take over the game with sheer tenacity at any given moment. richard gasquet 04-09-2005, 06:44 PM gael in 3 :) ugotlobbed 04-09-2005, 06:48 PM they better show this on espn! rue 04-09-2005, 08:03 PM I think it would be Nadal in two sets. He has been on the circuit longer than Gael and also cos of his results. We are talking about a guy who almost beat Federer in straight sets last weekend. Fedex 04-09-2005, 08:09 PM Nadal in 2. Scotso 04-09-2005, 09:45 PM Rafa in 2. PaulieM 04-09-2005, 09:54 PM aww i'm rooting for gael! :D El Legenda 04-09-2005, 09:54 PM tie :) Damita 04-09-2005, 10:11 PM oh my ... i just received French Tennis Magazine today and they wrote a lil article on Rafa/Gael, who will be the most successful in the future... funny to now find out they'll meet in their first round this week! i'm not too sure of what the results could be, but that should be a great match to see! ... for those who we'll have it on tv *sigh* :sobbing: lucashg 04-09-2005, 11:28 PM Nadal wins. I won't say it would be easy, but just don't quite see him losing to Monfils yet. I haven't seen them playing on clay, but seems that Nadal is suited to slower surfaces such as AO, Miami and obviously clay. So I'll give him the edge. marcelwks 04-09-2005, 11:35 PM Gael in 3  robinhood 04-10-2005, 01:55 AM Possibly an upset for Monfils in three sets? But may not this time. bad gambler 04-10-2005, 01:55 AM nadal 2 & 1 jacobhiggins 04-10-2005, 03:29 AM I always thought that Monfils, Nadal and some other BIG young players will be the ones to challenge Federer. I don't think talent alone is good enough to beat Federer consistantly, you can't really get any more talented then him! But if your extremley talented and BIG and POWERFUL, you will have an advantage, that's why Marat can do what no other player seems to be able to do. I think right now Nadal wins, but Monfils is going to be a very very LARGE, TALENTED, tennis player. Nadal's only 18 so he could grow alot too. This is an entirely differnt era then it was just 10 years ago! Players are becoming MASSIVE. But for now i'd favor Nadal! Chloe le Bopper 04-10-2005, 03:33 AM I sincerely hope that Nadal doesn't grow "a lot" more. Ack. jacobhiggins 04-10-2005, 03:36 AM Yeah ,Nadal's what 6'1 6'2 already? Something crazy could happend, he definatley could grow like 2 or three more inches lmao, I've been 5'7 since I was 17 and i'm 21 now....I stopped growing  so you never know. TennisLurker 04-10-2005, 03:37 AM Nadal is sooo winning this DanEd 04-10-2005, 03:42 AM It is on clay so Nadal very easily in straight sets (6-1 6-0). Billabong 04-10-2005, 04:00 AM I also predict Rafael Nadal in 2;)! -ernie- 04-10-2005, 04:10 AM Nadal is at a whole nother level than Gael. ataptc 04-10-2005, 05:03 AM Rafa easily in 2 :) NYCtennisfan 04-10-2005, 05:30 AM Nadal in 2 but this should be a great rivalry perhaps 3 years from now. Can't wait to see these two develop. :) Rex 04-10-2005, 12:48 PM nadal in straight sets- he played reasonably well agianst federer last week, monfils is just another player to him. knight_ley 04-10-2005, 02:14 PM rafa in 2. :yeah: Rezandinah 04-10-2005, 03:07 PM I'm afraid Nadal is gonna win in 2 sets... Golfnduck 04-10-2005, 06:42 PM Rafa in 2, Gael will lose. | |
