His name isn't Pastor. His name is Navarro Pastor. And he is listed. He has played for years already and is a good player on clay.

He beat very good claycourt players this week, including Fernando Gonzalez.

I searched last name Pastor and nothing.

But, seeing as you're an experienced user, I believe you.

It´s my fault, all this confusion, i didn´t type in his full name. i just presumed people had been following the tournament and knew who he was.

He is ranked #204 at the moment by the way. That is without the Valencia semi final points, so he will surely crack the Top 200 and probably Top 180.

And there are quite a few experienced users that aren't too bright, so you shouldn't believe me just cause of that :lol:

1) Today was a semi final match. Of course that record doesn't include today. He had already beaten Kenneth Carlsen [#8 seed, straight sets], Anthony Dupuis and Fernando Gonzalez [#2 seed, very good claycourt player]. By the way, in qualifying he had beaten Guillem Burniol, Albert Portas [TMS Hamburg winner a few years ago.. Claycourt player, who he only lost 5 games against] and fellow Spaniard and claycourt player Oscar Serrano.

2) He is by no means a rookie. He has been around in Futures and Challengers for years, having excellent results on clay, and poor results on any other surface.

OK man, spill the stats if you must.

I'm just saying his calibur of play hasn't exactly broken the mold for him ya know.

You know, I´m really happy Igor won today. I´ve watched him a few times and really like his game. Especially that forehand. I think it´s my fav shot. I also think he looks very down to earth and sweet.

Well, when i watched him play nadal he played great tennis but wasn´t shouting and screaming and making a show but just getting on with it. He celebrated with a little fist pump, skip and a smile. Very sweet.

Me too! Im so happy and proud for him, i mean to beat nadal in straight sets was a corker and deserves the title on that basis!! well you can quote me wrong but he hasnt dropped a set yet *me thinks* With all this, this is very promising!!!!
