Andreev bt Pastor 7-6 6-2Billy Moonshine 04-09-2005, 03:54 PM Hooray for Igor! Good luck in the final! Win your first title. ;) ae wowww 04-09-2005, 04:00 PM Which Pastor :D? roisin 04-09-2005, 05:06 PM oooh yeah go igor :woohoo: the boy better win this title now, its practically at home for him since hes been training in valencia for ages... ferrer will be tough to beat tho.. CooCooCachoo 04-09-2005, 05:32 PM Which Pastor :D? Ivan Navarro Pastor :p Hopefully Ivan will get to play some more main draw clay court events. He is a good claycourt player and could do more damage than he did here. MrOschie 04-09-2005, 05:34 PM go Igor  NATAS81 04-09-2005, 06:35 PM Had to be the easiest pick of the day. Pastor wasn't even listed on ATPtennis.com CooCooCachoo 04-09-2005, 06:38 PM Had to be the easiest pick of the day. Pastor wasn't even listed on ATPtennis.com His name isn't Pastor. His name is Navarro Pastor. And he is listed. He has played for years already and is a good player on clay. He beat very good claycourt players this week, including Fernando Gonzalez. NATAS81 04-09-2005, 06:39 PM I searched last name Pastor and nothing. But, seeing as you're an experienced user, I believe you. Billy Moonshine 04-09-2005, 06:40 PM It´s my fault, all this confusion, i didn´t type in his full name. i just presumed people had been following the tournament and knew who he was. I´m a bad poster :) CooCooCachoo 04-09-2005, 06:42 PM I searched last name Pastor and nothing. But, seeing as you're an experienced user, I believe you. I understand the thread title can throw you off. http://www.atptennis.com/en/players/playerprofiles/default2.asp?playernumber=N309 He is ranked #204 at the moment by the way. That is without the Valencia semi final points, so he will surely crack the Top 200 and probably Top 180. And there are quite a few experienced users that aren't too bright, so you shouldn't believe me just cause of that  NATAS81 04-09-2005, 06:45 PM Career singles record of 0-1. That wouldn't happen to be his loss today would it? If so, then at the time of my search I was right. Oh well. Another rookie falls in straight sets. Nothing to see here. CooCooCachoo 04-09-2005, 06:53 PM Career singles record of 0-1. That wouldn't happen to be his loss today would it? If so, then at the time of my search I was right. Oh well. Another rookie falls in straight sets. Nothing to see here. 1) Today was a semi final match. Of course that record doesn't include today. He had already beaten Kenneth Carlsen [#8 seed, straight sets], Anthony Dupuis and Fernando Gonzalez [#2 seed, very good claycourt player]. By the way, in qualifying he had beaten Guillem Burniol, Albert Portas [TMS Hamburg winner a few years ago.. Claycourt player, who he only lost 5 games against] and fellow Spaniard and claycourt player Oscar Serrano. 2) He is by no means a rookie. He has been around in Futures and Challengers for years, having excellent results on clay, and poor results on any other surface. NATAS81 04-09-2005, 06:55 PM OK man, spill the stats if you must. I'm just saying his calibur of play hasn't exactly broken the mold for him ya know. So you gotta do what you do ya heard. I appreciate the knowledge and rankings. Stay tough! :yeah: If you want 31 flavors, Baskin-Robbins is where you wanna be - Be Cool Billy Moonshine 04-09-2005, 06:59 PM You know, I´m really happy Igor won today. I´ve watched him a few times and really like his game. Especially that forehand. I think it´s my fav shot. I also think he looks very down to earth and sweet. Is anyone else a fan? roisin 04-09-2005, 07:14 PM *raises hand* yup! he's one of my faves is igor ;) his forehands a killer, when its working! if he hasn't changed since last may, well then i'd say he is very down to earth and sweet :) Billy Moonshine 04-09-2005, 07:16 PM Well, when i watched him play nadal he played great tennis but wasn´t shouting and screaming and making a show but just getting on with it. He celebrated with a little fist pump, skip and a smile. Very sweet. Suzi 04-09-2005, 07:18 PM Me too! Im so happy and proud for him, i mean to beat nadal in straight sets was a corker and deserves the title on that basis!! well you can quote me wrong but he hasnt dropped a set yet *me thinks* With all this, this is very promising!!!! Aleksa's Laydee 04-09-2005, 08:46 PM IGOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is awesome :D:D:D:D | |
