Bayern München - Borussia M'gladbach

Bayern playing against one of the worst awayteams in BL. I'm expecting a huge win for Bayern here.

So take -1.5 for $1.92.

I'm really confident on this one.

Don't they rest the best players for CL?

Kahn and Makaay fit

'We're totally focused on Gladbach'

08.04.2005 Oliver Kahn and Roy Makaay are both fit to play as Bayern go into Saturday's home meeting with Borussia Monchengladbach (from 3:15pm live in English on FCB Champions Web radio) determined to chalk up a morale-boosting victory.

Three days after the 4-2 Champions League defeat to Chelsea, the Reds return to the bread and butter of the domestic league looking to maintain or extend their lead over rivals Schalke 04, who visit Stuttgart in a second-versus-third showdown.

"It's even more important we return to winning ways after Wednesday's game," Magath declared on Friday ahead of final training at the Säbener Strasse. In the first place, Munich require the points in the title race, "but we also need to win back some of our lost self-confidence." For this reason, the 51-year-old called on his men to register a "convincing victory" against visiting Borussia, without a win away from home in a year.

Magath decided on a somewhat unusual form of preparation and withdrew his players from the public and media gaze before lunch. "We have to do whatever we can to get fresh and relaxed, and make sure we rebuild reserves of energy," the coach explained. "It's been a tough week, and we have some tough weeks ahead of us."

After the midday meal and a rest period, the squad returned to the training ground for fine tuning ahead of meeting the relegation-haunted visitors. "It's an important match," commented Bastian Schweinsteiger, "we need to bounce back with a decent display. I'll be delighted if we win as that'll help us for Tuesday."

However, Magath has forbidden dressing room talk of the return against the Blues. "We're totally focused on Gladbach," Schweinsteiger reported. "Chelsea is a separate affair. We have to beat Gladbach to stay ahead in the championship."

Following what the boss still feels was an "unlucky" 2-0 defeat at Borussia Park last autumn, the Bavarians are out for revenge. "We have a score to settle, so our only option is to turn the tables and see off Gladbach."

Roy Makaay is set to return after missing out in London with a reaction to a hamstring strain. Oliver Kahn, ordered to take it easy after a knock against Chelsea, came through final training unscathed. "At the moment they're both fit and in contention," Magath reported.

Martin Demichelis was suspended in midweek but resumes duty in front of the back four, although the boss confirmed torn muscle victim Claudio Pizarro was a "definite non-starter" for Saturday.

Probable line-ups:

Bayern Munich: Kahn - Sagnol, Lucio, Kovac, Lizarazu - Salihamidzic, Demichelis, Schweinsteiger, Ballack - Makaay, Guerrero

Borussia Monchengladbach: Keller - Korzynietz, Moore, van Kerckhoven, Daems - Kluge, Thijs, Böhme - Neuville, Sonck, Jansen

Referee: Manuel Gräfe (Berlin)

Also Bayern to keep a cleansheet @ 2.15. Small state though.

According to stats:

Bayern München goals home: 33 made, 9 conceded
Borussia M'gladbach goals away: 7(!!!) made, 23 conceded

Okay, I'll go with Stuttgart to win in Duisburg @2.40 this weekend. :)

Duisburg is shit, that's for sure and Stuttgart played well in the League-Cup, including Tomasson.
