kick serve

Here it is guys- i have s hit 2nd serve, the only way i win matches is by compensating for it, with my killer groundies ;) but i know my potential- and the second serve could be better. I have worked with a kicker as my second serve, but i do not get that much kick out of it. My coach was telling me about something about getting a right-angle in my elbow before hitting the serve.
What i want is some pictures of players doing this- so i can see it.
If any people know a little more about it then dont hesitate to speak-up, i would appreciate it.

OK, you're talking to the wrong guy. I'll see what I can do though. Just clarifying.

Gaudio and Safin are great examples of this.

I would recommend serving as usual, but have your coach/hitting partner stand a few feet in front of you, and hold their racket at arms length. Carry out your normal service action, and instead of going for the serve, just whip around it, so you serve over their racket and in. Hard for me to explain in writing but I hope that is clear enough!
Your 'killer groundies' will not always suffice. If you have someone rinsing that second serve, you're not going to be able to get an effective second ball, instead always be on the back foot. Good idea to do something about it. And you can always incorporate the kick serve into your first every now and then once you get the hang of it, purely to mix things up/exploit weaknesses.

I don't take pictures, I merely DL them from various places. I don't know of anywhere on the net where it marks whether the serve is first or second. Sorry.

Maybe Reza just wants to see the Kicker Koncept ;) irrespective of 1st or 2nd. I may have some, somewhere.

Some extreme kick from Mr Safin. Check out Gaudio's, too!

If there's anyone you want to mirror though, it's Roddick and Joachim Johansson's kick.

Though I don't recommend Andy's serve motion, lol

It's great for baseliners: Gaudio, Roddick, Safin etc. Because, you don't get the forward motion, but means you can afford to stay back, as they can do very little with the serve.

Agree I do not think anybody can copy that motion ;)
