Hi, I think you should try Sergie's site at maratsafin.com just click on the what's next column at the left side, this is not a complete schedule though just for the month. I'm pretty sure Marat is going to play on the four GS and all the Master's series what you have to lookout for is the small events that he's going to play in. Hope that helps!!! :D :D :D
And oh GOOOOO MARAT!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I wondre what Marat is doing during the first week of a new tennis season??? Entertaining? Still celebrating Davis Cup Win??!!! Oh, he's such a goof!
01-01-2003, 07:17 PM
I heard he's already in Australia practicing
01-02-2003, 03:16 AM
It may be true he is in Australia, but practicing..?;)
01-03-2003, 03:09 PM
Practicing the art of sleeping perhaps
01-03-2003, 04:33 PM
as long as he doesn't practice the art of picking up ugly blondes (ie last year AO) to fill up his 'family' bench:)
01-03-2003, 08:03 PM
I think his real family will be there this year. I don't know actually if Dinara will be playing AO too, but if she will I guess it's a family reunion like at the USO.
01-04-2003, 08:10 PM
dinara is in the top 100 so she'll automatically get into the main draw so its almost certain the whole safin family will be there :)
01-04-2003, 10:08 PM
I would like to see them cheer for him and him cheering for her of course. Then he would really have nice blondes cheering for him.
01-05-2003, 02:15 AM
they weren't "ugly blonds." Jealousy is not flattering.
01-05-2003, 02:35 AM
who's jealous? Not me.
01-05-2003, 10:41 PM
I'm not jealous either
01-05-2003, 11:40 PM
Even Marat says they are not his type:D :p
Anyway we don`t have to worry about Blondies...
Here you can see:
There will be no "beautiful bench". The blondes, with plunging necklines, the trio who adorned the Australian Open stands last year, had nothing to do with Mr Marat Safin.
Revelation No 1: they were not part of his entourage. There's no such thing as a "Safinette".
"Let's put it this way, I have nothing to do with these ladies. I'm not going to explain, but I have nothing to do with that, I swear to God," Safin said firmly.
"They were friends of my friends that asked me to get them tickets . . . I got them tickets, it's not a problem."
Revelation No 2: "They are not my types." Safin said this with a little grin - but he meant it. What is his type? "My type? Not this type."
01-06-2003, 04:18 AM
"My type? Not this type."
LOL! :D :D :D
01-07-2003, 01:49 PM
Always funny Marat:D :D
That's why we love him and for his tennis of course.
01-22-2003, 06:07 AM
I think he does goes out with dark haired girl,:)And all these blondies are just for fun and to hide his true girlfriend!
You'll never see the stars if you are looking down!"-My best friend Ann

Yeah, I agree, Marat and Yevgeny make us look UP!!!
01-27-2003, 02:09 AM
I believe Marat's next tournamet is Dubai which starts on Feb 24.
However, DC starts in a couple of weeks and we still don't know yet if Marat will play. I'm of two minds about it. I think without Marat on the team Russia has minimal chance of winning. It would be really sad if they were to go out in the first round. On the other hand, if Marat is not healthy and still recovering from his injuries then he obviously shouldn't play.
But whatever happens, i just hope they don't put pressure on Marat to play.

I don't know whether he'll play DC, but he has entered the tournament in Rotterdam too. That is the week before Dubai.
We'll see when he'll be ready to come back.
