his surname is so easy to type really quickly, with the letters forming a nice little compact square on the keyboard

hey, this is a legitimate discussion on another one of the unique qualities of Federer

He plays an interesting game, always. He has a great talent for changing his strategy in mid-match and coming back from behind. Court antics are few and far between. He does not challenge every dubious line call but gets on with the game.

.... and I could go on.

I did say discussion on another one of the qualities of Feds

I'm sure he's got other things going for him, but for me this is the most important.

I disagree- the "o" is way off to the right of the keyboard making it highly inconvenient. Oh Roger, how could you do this to us??? :bigcry:

He must change his name to Reger Federer. Now that is perfection.

at least this explains all the federer threads, people to lazy to type other names.

That g still is a bit far off, imho. He could make it Refer Federer too! Or, while he's at it, why not Rerer Rererer?

Well, following up Wyven's point, this theory does explain the bizarre lack of Ruben Ramirez-Hidalgo threads...

I like that he has so much variety....when it comes to nicknames: Rog, Rogi, Roja, Fed, FedExpress, FedererExpress,JesusFed, Rogerer etc. Tons of options for fans and nonfans alike :D

Oh and because he's swiss, and the swiss are known for cheese :speakles: ....the cheese metaphors abound: the big cheese, the head cheese, holy swiss cheese, swiss cheese whiz...

The fun doesn't stop at his tennis game folks

I often accidentally write "Federero" so I don't have as much love for his name as you, sadly.

Yeah, really. I think I just got in the habit of writing so much about Ferrero that everytime I got in the pattern of writing F's R's and E's I automatically added an O at the end. It's bad when I call him Federero on MSN, because unless I've included context (ie: "How do you like Federero to sweep the next three slams?"), nobody ever knows what I'm talking about.

Ugh. I hate typing Ferrer because I ALWAYS have to delete the O that I immediately write after it. I even did it just now!

This is really something. A great trait to have. I can type in Federer's name quickly on the ATP H2H section and get results fast!

It would be fun to come up with all surnames that reside within a box fully typed out.
