Nadal vs. Ferrero: FIRST ROUND IN VALENCIA

Who will win this? This is a heck of a first round match up, I think Nadal is gonna pull it out tho. Still, it will be tough i cant believe they drew each other first :eek:

JCF needs a break through, and Nadal needs a break from tennis.
So I say, go Juan Carlos!

Nadal will win this in straight sets.

Nadal is clearly in the best moment of his career so far and JCF is trying to comeback slowly, but is not achieving all that much lately, he has showed glimpses, though. Pushing Federer to a 3rd set tie-break and defeating an in-form Canas. If Nadal is still tired, he might have a shot, which is probably good since it gives Nadal more time to prepare for Monte Carlo, where if well-rested he can be a real contender.

OMFG two of my absolute favourites. Even tho i want JC to win, i think Rafa is in better form but who knows he might be tired. Needless to say this win would be good for JC.

You've got to think Nadal has the edge having taken #1 to 5 sets.

But, he's played so much and could pull out early.

And JCF, in his form, can be unbeatable on clay.

What a first round clash! Given the extremely short period of recuperation for Nadal, my guess would be JCF.

normally, I'd say Rafa in 2...but I'm just not sure whether he'll be tired both mentally and physically. and he's just come from playing on hard...though i know he's already had clay practice this year. in this instance, maybe jc will win...plus he's at home...but if Rafa's ok then he's gonna be pretty tough to beat...

This draw sucks. :mad: Their both great players and one off 'em will be out after the first round. :sad: I much rather would have seen them playing a QF,SF of Final against eachother!! So that we could enjoy both a little longer. Ooohhh well, I'm hoping and voting for JC, but if Nadal wins then that's good too.

I am hoping Juan Carlos wins and I think he can. Nadal could be tired but he's young so I don't think he will be that badly affected. I think the extra days preparation and rest might just JC the edge though.
