Andre's having a pretty good year....

Think about it. Quarters at AO. Quarters at San Jose (horrible loss to Melzer). Semis at Dubai. Quarters at IW (never got to play Hewitt). Lastly, Semis at Nasdaq. There was also his loss to Ivan in DC.

So, Andre, at 35, has made three quarters and two semis. He has lost 5 times this year, but 3 of them were against Federer. I give Agassi a chance against anyone, Hewitt, Roddick, Safin, anyone, except Federer. If it weren't for Federer, Agassi could be having a great year at the age of 35.

I am sure there are numerous players who would die to have these kind of results and it is amazing considering his age and that he picks his tournaments very selectively these days.

Just look at the rankings... or what about "only 2 players have been able to defeat Andre this year"?

its very good for the average player but i very much doubt andre at 35 is playing for semis/quarters

You know... at his age, he is doing very well. And the amazing thing is that he can still beat most players on the tour now... I really admire his strong determination in tennis.

He is having a good year so far. Playing much better quality tennis than last year. His only problem is that he keeps running into federer. When he is in the form he is right now, I think only safin and federer can beat him...not bad for a 35 year old. The clay season will be interesting....

I thought he played very well yesterday. Despite age, outclasses everyone except Federer. The match was closer than people are saying in this morning's papers and could have turned on a point.

yeah, things are looking good so far

but I'm pretty sure that no matter how old Andre is compared with the rest of the elite players of today he shares company with, he's looking for wins, and qf/sf wont cut it

Watch out for Andre at the clay he will be doing much better than last year. His hip doesn't bother him anymore like last year.
