Juve over Pool @2.70 seems not too bad :)

Ale10

Possible starting line up for Juve:

Buffon - Zebina, Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta - Camoranesi, Emerson, Blasi, Nedved - Zlatan, Del Piero.

And we will have Trezeguet, Zalayeta, Olivera on the bench. :)

I've got this really funny feeling Liverpool are gonna go through. I've taken them to qualify for the Semi's at 3.50. Also put money on 0-0 and 1-0 Liverpool tonight, I really don't think there will be many goals

adk
04-05-2005, 07:06 PM
I agree with you and think that it will be a low scoring match tonight, but think that Juventus are going to edge it.

Liverpool are simply way too inconsistent, and coming up against a team with such class, I think that they're going to struggle.

So I'm on Juventus at 2.50, and hedging that with a bit on the draw, incase it is 0-0 or 1-1 which are both very possible.

I also urge everybody to pile into Lyon at 1.66. They are playing some great football, and I think a lot of people are underestimating them... remember Porto anybody?!

adeegee
04-05-2005, 07:19 PM
Yeah I think Lyon will win as well, but I've got a lot on Liverpool to go through so I'll be too busy watching that. I don't think Juve are as good as everyone makes out, and Liverpool are very tough to beat at Anfield in the CL. I tip Stevie G to inspire them

Pool: Carson - Finnan, Carragher, Hyypiä, Traore - Luis Garcia, Biscan, Gerrard, Riise - Le Tallec, Baros.

Subs: Dudek, Warnock, Welsh, Potter, Alonso, Nunez, Smicer

Juventus: Buffon - Zebina, Thuram, Cannavaro, Zambrotta - Camoranesi, Emerson, Blasi, Nedved - Zlatan, Del Piero.

Subs: Chimenti, Montero, Pessotto, Appiah, Olivera, Zalayeta, Trezeguet.

WE WILL WIN!

Chelsea to win for me too.

I have a dilemma though... I have absolutely no money right now, and my friend has withdrawn quite a lot into my account, because his isn't working. I'm crazily thinking of putting all that money on Chelsea to win tonight...

AC Milan over Inter Milan tonight. Good value at 2.20. AC are probably the most complete side in Europe at the moment, and Inter will find it hard to break down a Cafu-Nesta-Maldini-Stam defence without Adriano.

Chelsea over Munich.

Pretty confident!

How about a Chelsea clean sheet, at evens?

I don't think that Chelsea will concentrate on defense as they did against Barca away. They will surely try to score a couple of goals to make things a bit easier for the next week's match, the game opens up and Bayern's Ballack, Makaay and Salihamidzic become deadly dangerous then.

Chelsea is now with Terry with Carvalho in central defense as Ferreira is injured. This new duo has now started to let in goals in the last few games .... against Crystal Palace, Southampton, Norwich ect..

Bayern has just too good strikers. Chelsea will have a hardtime keeping cleansheet.

Yeh, Villarreal looks a soild bet. I'll be putting medium - high stakes on that one.

I think that the Newcastle - Sporting game is best left alone, but if you want to back anybody, back Sporting at around 4.00. That price is much better value than Newcastle at 1.80.

Elsewhere, CSKA over Auxerre, and Austria Vienna over Parma.

From what I heard Bayern will try to force a goal early on, but still be patient as well. Last thing they want is a goal against, cause then they'd have to score 3. Makaay said they're confident they can get a 2-0 victory, so I guess that's what they're playing for.

I'm already all over Milan to reach the semis (bet on that last week), so I'm not betting tonight. For tomorrow I'm considering playing PSV to reach the semis at $1.65.

This looks like a good pick.

Being a lifelong Chelsea fan, I think that there will be goals at either end tonight. As you said, we are good on the counter, which Bayern will leave themselves open to as they push for the win by 2 goals. Even if Bayern manage to nick an early goal (and to be honest, I think that they will be able to break through our defence tonight), Chelsea have the class to score too. Furthermore, Bayern will have both Pizzarro and Makaay, and our defence is not at full strength, and as such as been leaking a few goals lately - about only 1 clean sheet in the last 9. The only thing I can see keeping this game under 2 goals, is if Chelsea go 2 up on the night, which will effectively kill the game off.

Gonna be putting quite large $$ on that one.

Also looking at bookings over 45pts at 2.1. It will be a heated game, like the last, especially with Bayern needing goals, Chelsea's great defence, and all the pre-match bullshit between both sides.

Awayteam to score: NO, medium stake.

1.50 might not seem as a value but Liverpool has no chanse tonight.

Good luck!

Really hope it comes off for you mate ;)

I think that there's huge value in a Lyon away win at around 3.00

I'm on it

Champions League Semi finals
I've got a big feeling that PSV gonna surprise Milan and will not lose in the San Siro...X2@ 2.77

OVER in chelsea-liverpool is worth the odds....2.10 . i think it will be something like 2-1 to chelsea, but i guess liverpool will defence as she done in the delle-alpi....so it's tough a little.

Chelsea v Liverpool

Winner : Chelsea, enough said

I agree with Nimrodg, OVERS 2.5 goals looks like the play, chelsea will come out in the first 30min as they always do full of running and will want to at least score 3 goals tomorrow to be safe for the second leg.

Liverpool, the kings of the counter, could easily pinch a goal against the run of play like they did against Bayern Leverkusen.

UEFA Cup Semis Leg 2

Ok lads, I\'m not one for public write ups and analysis but will try and show off my skills for the two big games later today

Game 1 - CSKA Moscow v Parma

Pick: CSKA win - pays $1.50

This is by far the easiest game to pick the winner and result. At home Moscow are impregnable, winning all three of their home ties in teh competition but more impressively not conceding a goal in the process. But most important factor for me is that Parma\'s focus will be away from the pitch. They battle relegation in the Italian Serie A and further they are still suffering from major financial problems. Although they had a good win in the Serie A over the weekend, many times their defensive frailties were exposed conceding 4 goals in an amazing 6-4 win result against Livorno. The fact that they have made it this far with all those factors in mind is amazing but their runs ends here tonight.

Game 2 - AZ Alkmaar v Sporting Lisbon

Pick: Sporting Lisbon +0.5 start - pays $1.60

Of all the teams still remaining in the competition, this is the team I have most been impressed with. They don\'t have the financial resources as many European clubs and have gone thus far with team spirit. The result in the first leg in Portugal was 2-1 to Lisbon, but the away gooal for the Dutch team I believe will be invaluable for them. There is injury concerns in both camps with AZ missing classy defender Jan Kromkamp through injury and midfielders Olaf Lindenbergh and Michael Buskermolen through suspension. These absentees will cause a major reshuffle in tactics as most creativity in the midfield so far have been driven by these two players.

Sporting will be missing key striker Mauricio Pinilla through injury which is a big blow for their attack. Lisbon players will also be fresh as they were all rested in the domestic game over the last weekend. End of the day their is too much incentive for Sporting to win - a final in their home ground in European competition awaits them. I have decided against playing them for the win becuase I believe the absence of Pinilla will hurt them in front of goal, but can see them at the mimimum getting a draw hence progessing to a home final

Final play is a parlay of both above plays, pays $2.40

happy picking

Been waiting for the CSKA Moscow game all week, should be free money.

Steering away from the AZ game though, I hate to bet against Dutch teams at home.

Heartbreaking last minute goal (120 + 2  ) by Sporting. Yesterday PSV and today AZ, unreal. Especially if you're Dutch..

you can hardly get more unlucky than AZ :sobbing:
decisive goal in injury time of the 2nd half of extra time :cuckoo: Lisabon really lucked out in this one BIG TIME, would have liked AZ much more to go to finals, unbelievable :smash:

I'm really wondering what action UEFA will take against CSKA (Parma goalkeeper hit by flare and had to go off). Can't imagine they let Parma through to the final, but you never know with the UEFA. I've seen stranger decisions from them.
