I don't even want to give this match serious thought right now :mad:. Because if I do...I won't get any sleep. I will get up at 8 AM and stress out then :p.

Truthfully, my heart is saying Seb because I have liked and watched him longer BUT only by about a year. This match is like Kiwi vs. David last week...only this is worse!!

lol, well thats a bit weird....Willhill has Grosjean at lesser odds to win the tourney than Gaston, even though Gaston's a favourite in the match :confused: if someone can see the logic can u share it please lol ;)

Grosjean can really penetrate on hardcourt against Gaudio with his serve and forehand, and fitness permitting I'd back him as the favourite here. But his form has been non-existent the past half-year, and if he's not up to speed Gaudio may very well easily outgrind him. Sebastien isn't as physical a player as he used to be (by that I mean he isn't able to tirelessly counter-punch as in his younger days), so he may be worn out by the Argentine if Gaudio is intent on producing his best.

The interesting stat here is that they played at this very event, in this very round, three years ago and Gaudio won in three sets, 7-6, 4-6, 6-1. That was when he was an unseeded floater and Grosjean a Top 10 player (although the latter was at something of a low ebb at the start of 2002, before turning it around in the clay season); now their positions in the game have reversed, will the result change too? The slowness of the courts gives Gaudio a good chance to rally his opponent into submission, but Grosjean's whipping off-forehand down the line to Gaudio's forehand could be an effective play for him. One thing's for sure, Gaudio will win the battle of first-serve percentage comfortably.

I really hope and wish that Gaston will win :)
