He'll play Hyung-taik Lee who previously defeated another russian, Mikhail Youzhny. I actually want Monfils to advance into the 4th round. He could play Safin.

no he beat gaudio earlier this year although granted that was on hardcourts

I don't think that monfils ever wore the capris :confused: He just wears his oncourt clothing REALLY big, so his shorts hang down to his knees :D

he didn't :confused: I was sure i saw him in one of those 'capri pants' threads and people were saying that they were. Anyway, if he hasn't, good,and here's hoping he never does :)

Give Safin some credit, he's due to show up at this tournament seeing as he failed to do so in his last two. He's a major threat in Miami, especially with Roddick and Hewitt out. Plus, he theoretically has the easiest draw out of the top players.

I'd he'll advance surely into the 4th round. If he meets Monfils, he can lose. :devil: I'm not a fan of Monfils, but it will definitely be a big win for him. If Safin gets past those early rounds, there's two awesome match-ups for him (again, in theory): Ljubicic and Federer. I'd love to see Safin and Ljubicic playing each other and Federer taking his much deserved revenge over Marat. Roddick and Hewitt are out, but there's a lot to come in the bottom-half of Miami's draw yet.

Safin won, so this isn't too relevant now... but Hrbaty would certainly be the heavy favourite over Monfils :shrug:
