What book do you use? I just 5dimes for parlaying and hate their nickel max. I like WSEX as they allow you to parlay at much higher stakes, but they don't put up lines early and there is no way I'm getting up at 6:30am to place some bets. I wish Pinnacle would allow tennis parlaying (I use them for straight wagers).

no play for me today , but one particular 1st rd match that has my attention is lisnard TBT young. is this a no brainer or what?

if i go through with this it will be the first and probably last time i will back lisnard as he generaly has ugly results.

but taking into account lisnards qualy results; 46 61 62 over goldstein who is known to pick his game up on home soil and 62 64 over bogomolov who would have been super keen to get some runs on the board. i would say he would have too much in the trunk for the youngster.

if for some reason lisnard throws away his ok qualy form and loses to young then will be able to get back most if not all of that loss by backing chela TBT young in next rd.

the only drawback is having to back lisnard , which normally for me would be a big , big no.

sportodds have lisnard priced at 1.16 which is ok i think. will have a look at qualy stats and forum thoughts before commiting.

no hurry as not played tomorrow.

backing some large prices there BG (3.99 , 1.80 and 2.70). the biggest odds i have backed this year is 1.33.

are you/or is anyone else laughing at my thoughts on backing lisnard for the huge return of 16%?

to be honest i'd rather lose my money on "bigger plays" say $1.60+ then the short odds that you suggest - trust me its more painful if you lose on a $1.16 play!

and no we are not laughing at your play - just think its hardly worth risking your cash for a $1.16 play

me.

most of my bets average about 1.10

as i said lisnard is not someone i would normally contemplate backing. but i say again , if lisnard loses than you could get back your loss through backing chela TBT young in the next rd.

guys, personnaly, and although I'm one of this player's biggest fan, I wouldn't bet on thomas enqvist. Logically, he should be able to beat Lee but you just never know with him. He can become very inconsistent if it happens to be windy in Key Biscayne.
My tip is Michael Llodra and as a frenchman, I know what I'm talking about (1.66 on William Hill)

If you feel that there is no way that Lisnard can lose, then why not take him?? Simple as that. Then the odd 1.16 becomes value...

Gsm if you can pull it off each year its good the only point is that although youre hit rate will be very high you only need one or two to go down to set you back.

However if it suits you and you found a formula for you that works keep it.

Good luck to us all today trying to bust the books!!

Another point on Max is that the price has drifted out a fair bit on the exchanges and its probably a while until Bjkorman will have the slightest chance to win a singles match becasue he never wins on clay, so maybe they had a chat on this one. All in all one to avoid.

really? have you lost any bets??

two.

backed myskina TBT peng , saw myskina play three matches at hopman cup (the week prior) looked as though her form was decent. also saw her verse peng , she was a shell of her former self , a real slug.

and dont laugh , but backed venus TBT farina elia.

before i made the bet above i had backed venus only once this year (verse razzano) was going off the fact that;

*venus had a nice H2H with farina elia easily beating her 9-0.

*farina had retired a few weeks earlier (with problems in serving shoulder) and had not played since.

*venus had lost two matches all year 67 67 verse molik and 64 46 46 verse amelie.

was 100% up when myskina lost (had made a 100% in the hopman cup the week prior , my fav week of tennis betting) and over 300% up when venus lost.

i am well aware you can fall hard by betting like this. last year managed to make 6000% profit before being kicked backed to my starting balance. an interesting story that one...

6000% profit?

what is your stake bro?

$1500 , turned it into $90000.

made $20000 betting on ave 1.30 matches in the aussie tennis season. looking back at it i think i was lucky , did not have a single loss out af about 40 bets. went overseas for a few weeks , did not bet. came back made a few more grand then started losing several thousand/winning several thousand , was up and down like a yo-yo(the last bet was a moodie TBT horna at indian wells , it lost). decided to pull out with $15000 profit , concentrate on work and clear my head.

came to the conclusion that i was plain lucky in the aussie season and in about april some how decided that it would be a good idea to throw my profit balance or most of it on fairly certain events. i started doing this in 1st rd wimbledon.

went from wimbledon to mid way through the olympics without a loss.

damn olympics screwed me. i am a little ashamed of my betting on athens.

plan was to bet through to the 3rd or 4th rd of us open and call it quits for the year , but no the olympics had to come around.

so in actual fact i did not make 6000% by betting on 1.10 average. made a bit over a 1000% betting on 1.30 average and the rest on 1.10

there you go , thats my story.

MrOschie
03-23-2005, 01:18 PM
impressive

fisherking
03-23-2005, 01:26 PM
Actually, i also make satisfied profit from supporting favs, but maybe with not low odds;

my system is working like this:

Let's say I have initial bankroll 1000 Euro, and I divide it into 2 part 500 Euro each.

I put my first bet with stake 500 Euro; if I win my next stake will be 500 Euro * odds from 1st bet;

example: my first bet odds were 1.40, I won it so my next stake will be 500 * 1.40 = 700 Euro;

I continue till I make first stake * 4 (2000 Euro brutto, 1500 clear profit); At this moment my bank is 2500 Euro; I recalculate my intial bankroll and then my "start" stake is 1250 Euro and I try to get 5000 Euro from it.

What if I lose?
Let's say I lose in any moment of first step: then my bank is 500; so simply - I divide it into 2 parts 250 Euro each and my aim is to get 1000 Euro (750 clear profit) from it. If I do it I recalculate my stake as mentioned above.

There are some nuances here as well, but don't know do you want to read abaout them :)

Surely, it's not my "main" thread - the most part of my money goes on value singlebets.

philben
03-23-2005, 01:27 PM

Jim Jones
03-23-2005, 01:31 PM
wait a minute, are you guys into real betting here or vchash. If you bet for real with tennis then where do you do so. I get more than 80% of my predictions correct. For instance, I bet that Rochus will beat Karlovic in 1st round. This will happen, trust me.

H2H can be deceiving when surveying the overall attributes.

Take the Schuettler match for example. Yeah, he's got the experience. But he's giving up nearly a foot to his opponent. So I look for the upset there. :yeah:
