I'm taking a poll...how much would you be willing to pay for a Live Scoring subscription for ATP and Challenger level events? The quality would be similar to the quality delivered at the Pacific Life tournament (that is currently underway)?

I’m not particularly impressed with the tournament site as a whole (Pacific Life Open) – the scoreboard itself is quite average compared to others – particularly those on Grand Slam sites.
I’d perhaps consider subscribing to a service which included a lot more than just a scoreboard – I did subscribe to Wimbledon Plus last year but I was looking for specific info.
The bottom line for me… a scoreboard doesn’t = good coverage. Therefore a scoreboard alone isn’t worth paying for.

if it was a really good scoreboard, like the ones they have for davis cup, i might pay a dollar a tourney but no more

nothing, why do the GS do have live scoreboards for free and should start charging (via the ATP)! Because these are the events that most people actually follow... Besides if I could pay 400$ a year, I would invest in sports channels on the cable and watch them on TV rather than follow the scores online ;)

that DC scoreboard was fine most of the time..but sometimes its like 40-15 then next thing is game over 30-30 in next one...and the Serve speed didnt match..like Player A serving..it would say Player B serving from last game.

i think the indian wells scoreboard is great, absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. i'd happily pay $400+ for tournaments to have this sort of a scoreboard. i don't think we should have to but i would definitely pay it. there's nothing worse than having serious money on a match and not having live scores

IMO the indian wells scorboard does the job. these scoreboards , as a lot of you know are often used in nth american tournaments. they should be at every god damn tournament!!!

it is pathetic to say the least that a so called high profile sport such as tennis most of the time have a void when it comes to match statistics. and the tennis admin wonder why golf has greater popularity.

golfing fans world wide get to see tournaments week in week out. but tennis fans have to scrounge a round for scraps of info here and there and try and figure out what happened in a match. the livescore forums here are a classic example , people following matches via game by game scoreboards , guessing who is serving. it seems that a lot of the time no one in the world has the match broadcast.

could go on and on... the sad fact is if you want regular reliable match stats at the moment you are dreaming.

i would subscribe to a service (with match stats) as the itf/atp/wta are a hopeless bunch that cant organise one themselves.

Why do I need to pay if there's tons of fans who give lives scores AND match updates for free in the tournament forums here?

i'm not arguing that the dc scoreboard has it problems but i'm saying a sb with stats, point by point scores and ball placement would be nice :) especially for the smaller tourneys were we have nothing

Here are two free sites IMO that keep up the best with live tennis scores for ATP and WTA tennis: http://www.livescore.com/tennis.dll, http://www.ebolibet.com/tennislive.htm

livescore is awful and ebolibet doesn't seem to be much better from my experince, although i've only known about it for a month or so. Most of the time you are better off sitting in the score thread on here & wta world then watching livescore :o

let it be known that i am happy because for the next couple of weeks we get the cool scoreboards with stats that are used at the moment.

game by game scoreboards dont cut it , especially when they dont show who is serving.

livescore.com should pay $4000 to actually do some live scores and not just copy from other boards

Hi friends,
l love tennis so when I have the possibility and don't exist livescore in the official sites I share what I see with who needs it; I have never said that my site is a "site of livescore" and I doesn't even have the conceit to think it.
i would like do all my best for all people who loves tennis like me....
Have a nice day and sorry for my bad english

The quality would be similar to the quality delivered at the Pacific Life tournament (that is currently underway)? Besides the fact that I generally wouldn't pay for live scoring because it's generally available for free, IW's quality of live scoring is not something I would suggest using as a promotional tool because it sucks (e.g., had to go to another website to find out result of Safin match b/c live scoring stopped at deuce in last game).

I would, however, pay for good quality webcasts (preferably without announcers) because tennis coverage in the U.S. is so paltry. It is disheartening for me to read on MTF and on other tennis sites that people are watching Al Jazeera's free broadcasts, passing on its link, and essentially providing this network with free advertising. I love tennis and want to see as many matches as possible but cannot bring myself to watch a network that, masquerading as a legitimate news station, promotes and glorifies religious and ethnicity-based terrorism and murder. So whoever can come up with a reliable way to show webcasts of the tournaments, you can count on my business!

For live scoring? uhh...nothing. Live feeds, yeah.
