Please show you up here!!! Ofcourse not only Japanse, but anyone who is interested in Japan or anyone who is kind enough to cheer us. :worship:

And never mind the broken English. Have you noticed how many of us posting threads here don't use proper punctuation or capital letters or correct vocabulary, right grammar etc, just to name a few?

As long as we get the points across, nothing matters! (in my opinion)

I hope Japan has some more Roger-fans. But good to see there are at least some fans there! Roger really has fans all over the world :)
I really would love to visit Japan once :) I've got two friends there and I would like to see them again.

Hi! That is true, they show us his games live, but not always (usually every match at Slams and Davis Cup, and at least after SF at Masters Series.). The last one I saw live was match against Safin in January (you know which one, his only loss so far this year.....).

I would love to report them on your bbs, but the problem is, I can read the characters like Japanese, Chinese, or even Thai, and can type in Japanese characters on my computer, however, it will not appear in that way on your computer once I send it  . I am pretty sure about this, because I have already tried to email my pals in Japan in Japanese, but nobody of them could read it. Roger's next opponent is G. Muller of Luxenburg. I don't know about him much, but if Roger plays as good as he did against Fish, it shouldn't be a problem for him. Interesting one is after the coming round, either Tomas Berdych or Ivan Ljubicic. Ljubicic is enjoying his best tennis so far in his career, helping Croatian Davis cup team advance with 3 wins over the U.S. (Roddick, Agassi, and the famous twins) and reaching 3 finals in the first 3 months of the year (losing to Roger every time). Berdych,,,. The young man from Czech Republic was the last one to defeat Roger in Athens before his SF loss at Aussie Open.

But, first of all, I wish him a good luck against Muller!! :clap2:

Konnichiwa Nocko san.
If you count his actual Mother language, Swiss German (in Basel accent) as one language he speaks, he is capable of speaking 4 languages. Swiss German is (for me) still German, but it has its typical strong accent, and the grammar and some of the words are a bit different. This Swiss German is only a spoken language, and they officially write in high German. Well, they can actually write it, but it is not official. If he has an interview in Germany or with German media, he speaks high German, and with Swiss media, his Basel dialect.

For example, "I like you" in German "Ich mag dich" and in Swiss German "I ha di gärn". But, it slightly differs, depending on where you are in Switzerland. Maybe we should ask Tschaeggy for some examples.

It is interesting, but I am still struggling with this Swiss dialect, but I am getting used to it.

Anyway, Roger has a marvelous talent in languages. Huts off and :worship:.

Yeah Swiss German sounds really weird, I don't understand anything of it!
But we've got the same in Holland... in the province where I live there is a dialect and if people speak that other people in Holland don't understand them at all.

Konnichiwa, Stevens Point-san,
Thanks for the tips. it's interesting. Even in Japan, some local places, I can't understand what people say.... esp. old people!! Local 'spoaken languages ' are dificult. :p

Next match is that they are first meeting, Rogi usually don't get soon his rhythm, but I think Rogi will play great.

Muller beat Agassi last year in SF at Washington.
Then, I heard he played good match with Lleyton in final.
He'll certainly be not an easy opponent for Rogi.
But definitely Rogi is a toughest opponent for him.

Ah, it is almost at 9 PM here in Central Europe, and Eurosport is broadcasting the Match of Davenport right now live!! Lindsay has just taken the first game with a break! It seems very windy at the West Coast town, I can hear the Wind through microphone.

Hey Eurosport! We want to see Roger play!!

Do you know what Agassi said to Roger during their exhibition game at IW on the other day? He said something like, "You should cut your hair off, so that you don't have to wear that thing (the nike hair band)!!" That was so funny, when Agassi said that who has hairless head (he actually shaves his head.)!

I skipped my class on Wednesday afternoon when he played Suzuki just to stay home and see the match. It was worth doing so,,, I still remember how entertaining and amazing it was!! Everyone in the arena was, I think, expecting an easy win for Roger, but Takao and his game forced Roger to compete at his best against the Japanese. I don't think Roger hadn't faced that kind of opponent many times. I can't remember who, but someone who lost tiebreak and eventually match to Roger last year said, "once you reach tiebreak, it can go either way." I am glad both went for Roger (the 2nd set tiebreak in the final in Dubai went for Ljubicic.), but Ivan, you are certainly an outstanding player!! You deserve much more than finishing as a runner-up or less. Hope to see you win a title. :hatoff: :worship:

Certainly!! There was only one single break point in this match. Roger had one chance to break Ljubicic's serve, but Ivan held. That tells us how strong their service games were!

I think Ivan deserves to be the current world No. 2, knowing how he plays Roger and how he generally plays recently. I would love to see him play against Hewitt.

Hopefully. We have 3 different channels in 3 different languages. At least one of them should be showing us the final where the most favorite athlete of this country is standing!!

It is already late (again!). Good night, Nocko! wish you a wonderful Sunday :) !

Thank you Silvy. Yes, I'm OK. the earthquake was in Hukuoka prefecture(International JUDO chanpionships is held on there evry year). It's far from my area. I heard about it from car radio. I'm back just now, so I don't know how terrible it was yet. I hope there isn't damaged so much. Anyway thank you so much !

Nocko,

Here in Europe, the media reported the Kyushu quake as one of the headlines. glad to hear that nothing bad happend to you and your family members, and hopefully to your friends and other loved ones.

My sympathy goes to the victims of this tragedy.

Thank you so much, my friends....Yes, It's always sad to hear about those disasters. this time ,one died, over 400 people injuared, over 700 structures collupsed.usually those numbers increase later. there were so many earthquakes and typhoon attacks last few years.( recently, Niigata eathquake in last Nov.-worse than this time) Too many. I prey for those sufferes.

Why does Eurosport carry the soccerWC Asian qualificaton match Iran vs Japan live? (It is not really relevant to "Euro".) And why seldom Roger's match? I don't understand...

But, anyway, I am going to watch the Iran-Japan game.

Is anyone also watching this tonight (or this afternoon)???

Unfortunately, Japan lost in Iran 2-1.  It was a close match, but Iran was overall a better side outthere. Congrats, Iran!

Well, it is over, we should concentrate on the next match next week! And, we will of course have a revenge in Japan against Iran! :)

And, of course I will cheer for Roger against Rochus!! Go Roger!! :D :D

I always got the feeling eurosport always shows agassi when they show tennis. Why Agassi? He ain't from europe!

More people want to watch rather Roger's match than Agassi's. No doubt about it. Roger's a European. It would make more sense if they show Roger's match, because more people would watch and it is "Euro"!! And, it is good for Eurosport if they carry Roger's match, because, I repeat again, more people watch the channel!!

Come on, Eurosport!! :(

Atm I would be happy with a match of Agassi on eurosport, coz it is better than no tennis at all  argh I would love to have tennischannel, I don't get enough tennis on tv here :(

Hoi Nocko!! ("hoi" is like hi in Switzerland.)
Umm, well,,,, No, my name is not on the list. I have been actually considering about joining, but I am kinda new to MTF, and I thought that maybe I should get to know the people first here in Roger's thread, and then I should first settle down here for long enough, so that I get the feeling that I really belong here. You know, I am kinda new comer who needs more experience here.

Then you asked me if I am on the list of the Express. This question gave me some sort of a very interesting feeling! I don't think you meant for this, but it is somehow motivating me to join, and I feel really good about it. Because of this simple question, things in me have changed. And, and, I love to see Roger play and win, I want to know more about Roger, and finally I am a big fan of Roger, like you all are!!

So, I join! :yeah:
