Either Miami, Rome or Paris, but since Miami is a 96 draw its more attractive.

Monte Carlo. It's on clay ;) and the location is superb. Certainly one of the most attractive venues.

Hamburg, because its the lead up to my favourite slam and it gives some indication as to who should do well at RoGa and who probably won't.

Paris...because Marat won it 2 times...and next year will win again...and in 2004 too, 2005, 2006...LOL

i love Monte Carlo b/c it's a beautiful location and Juanqui won it this year. :D Cincinnati is a close 2nd b/c it is during the summer and we have great coverage for every day. :D and of course Paris to decide the Final 8 in the TMC.

I like Miami, it's the closer city for me:bounce: And it feels like the "latin air", you know, so many latinamerican people there, I like a lot that, and it's one of the biggest tournaments, so much better!:bounce:
After Miami, I like Rome(by the city not the tournament).
And then like Chato, I like the blue courts of Indian Wells.:p

Hurley
11-18-2002, 09:08 PM
Cincinnati since it's the only one I've been to. :p

I love all the clay ones, esp. Hamburg, (2000 and 2002 were very nice) and Monte Carlo does have the most beautiful view.

also Miami (i liked the use of shot spot there) and Cincy (i liked the interactive day they had last year) cause we get coverage of those everyday.

Lee
11-19-2002, 04:33 AM
Monte Carlo. When the match got really bored, you could enjoy the view.

I don't like the indoors tournaments, are just like so cold or boring. Just my opinion.

:) let's see... well in 2001 Roma for Juanqui and Hamburg for Haas

this year: Miami looked good until the final [wrong guy won]; Monte Carlo for Juanqui [besides the setting is spectacular]; Hamburg definitely for Rogi!!!; TO and Cincy were pretty good [Canas and Moya!!] and Paris for Marat!!

Madrid sucked and deteriorated... una lastima!! Hope it's better next year!!

TO was fun but too damn hot!! ;)

If they're going to hold a masters in shanghai why not one in Latin America? Also would it be bettter schedule-wise if the Shaghai masters were held two weeks before the Oz open so as to have at least one major masters before each slam. Of course the other tournaments might have to be juggled a bit.

Hmmm this may be in the wrong thread.

It would be great!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Ok....now realisticlly I think that it would be a great question where can it be held, the security, well, and an endless amount of questions and problems......and the main one....MONEY.
Anyway, I'll keep dreaming

i told you, in Acapulco, is a city much more secure than most of the big cities at USA or Europe and there are a lot of money there (of course in the wrong hands, the hands of few ones) But is a great choice, just watch the "abierto mexicano"

I love Montecarlo
Because it is clay and is the most beautifull place in the world

I am the entire year waiting the Formula One GP of Montecarlo, it is the best of all, and the tennis tournament too.

About Masters in Latin América.....
well, it should be great:bounce: :bounce:
but I´m sure they will never choose Argentina, cause we only have clay surface (exept in Nalbandian´s house lol=) but perhaps in Bahia (Brasil). There is hardcourt.

Miami, because it's sunny, fun, well attended, nice venue, and hard courts. Monte Carlo 2nd, for the history and the background and the good fields and everything

Monte Carlo!

Great location. Not too big, good access to practise courts, mostly fine weather, a rather international crowd and everything which makes spring at the Mediterranean coast such a pleasure.

The 5th slam obviously. Too big and tough to win.

How the fuck is Miami winning? That event is a disaster an awful lot

Monte Carlo or Rome. These tournaments are cornerstones of tennis history. Does not matter whether a player I like/don't like wins, they are of huge prestige and tradition.

Is there a similar thread for Grand Slams? I've done a search and nothing has come up. I'd really like to see what people make of what their favourite GS is.

Miami - I love the court, the city, everything.

Rome and MC are great too. I also like Cincy, because it's one of the few faster tournaments left and it's the real slam.
