a lass after me heart. Fellow Hewitt fan here...you'll find it kind of a love-hate relationship on the boards (but if you've been lurking...you've probably already figured that out). Glad you finally, formally, joined in.

Welcome.

And BTW, might you be from the South? (although we spell it ya'll...in these here parts  )

Which Carolina? I grew up in Greensboro...went to NC State. Transplanted back to Richmond...where my family is originally from. I miss Tobacco Road. The b-ball here...just ain't the same. Went to a VCU v. William & Mary game last night (only because the tix were free)...and I swear...we had more people at my high school games years ago.

Again...welcome to the boards!

Hello, AQ, andreajean, I'm from KY. OK, no eggs and tomatoes, please. Now why would we do that? Us Southern Gals need to stick together. Moveover...I'm thinkin'....horses...bourbon. KY is a fine, fine state and we actually celebrate the State Holiday in our home. We're having our 6th Annual Derby Day party this May. We even had a horse come one year. LOL! A out-of-town girlfriend had been on a nearby trail ride that day...and didn't have time to take her horse, Hershey, back to her stables. So...we set up the 'lectric fence (which was rather entertaining since most of us had already had a few too many Mint Juleps at that point)...and Hershey munched away in our floodplain-boarding but otherwise 0.25ac suburbanite yard. It was a sight...and instead of our neighbors being POed...most of them (with kids) wanted to come closer. Now I wish we could get Hershey here every year. :)

But even basketball here is pretty good...lots of fans and very intense...i think it's in the blood in NC.

Derby Day is officially May 7 this year. I'm thinking about going shopping for a Derby hat-you know, one of the biiiiiig ones.
